Ben Affleck Visited Lindsay Lohan In Rehab To Share Sobriety Advice

Lindsay Lohan received a secret support visit from Ben Affleck whilst in rehab.

The 27-year-old actress has been out of rehab for two weeks and has already been busy: appearing on Chelsea Lately; mocking Kristen Stewart; being interviewed by Oprah Winfrey and signing a deal for her own reality show.

Lohan checked into rehab following a judge's ruling in March which stated Lohan had to attend a rehab facility for 90 days. Initially in the Betty Ford clinic, Lohan transferred to the Malibu Cliffside Rehab Center where she remained to finish her 90-days. 

Affleck has also gone through rehab (in 2001 he checked in for alcohol use) so was able to offer his support and advice. According to sources, speaking to TMZ, Affleck met Lohan away from the facility. 

He appears to have given her guidance on how to continue with her sobriety after finishing rehab. Affleck promised her the entertainment community in L.A. was a lot more understanding of people attempting to remain sober than it would appear.

He also, allegedly, gave Lohan advice on how to further her career. Affleck apparently geed up the actress, telling her how talented she is and saying he believed she could alter her ways.

On the latter point, Lohan's latest film, The Canyons, has not been received well by critics or audiences. The low budget independent film from director Paul Schrader, has been described by critics as "inept" (Claudia Puig - USA Today) and even "rank" (David Edelstein - Vulture). 

Regardless of her careers downturn, Lohan does appear to be attempting to live soberly, according to sources close to the actress. However, there have also been reports in US Weekly, that the attended a party with The Wanted days after leaving the rehab facility. These claims have been denied by Lohan's representative and sources close to her.
