Rockers Linkin Park are teaming up with The Offspring to play a benefit concert for victims of the typhoon in the Philippines.

The bands will come together for a special show in Los Angeles in January (14) to raise funds for Linkin Park's charity Music For Relief, an organisation which provides aid to disaster areas.

The Concert for the Philippines event at L.A.'s Club Nokia venue will bring in money to help those affected by Typhoon Haiyan, which ripped through the Asian country in November (13) and left more than 5,000 dead.

More acts will be added to the line-up in the coming weeks.

Tickets for the show will be given to fans who donate or raise at least $250 (£167) for Music For Relief's Typhoon Relief effort.

The top 75 fundraisers will be treated to special rewards such as meet-and-greet sessions with the bands and commemorative merchandise.
