The original line-up of Lionel Richie's soul supergroup THE COMMODORES is to reunite before the end of the year, according to the EASY singer himself.
Richie admits he's forever being asked about reunion plans and rumours never seem to go away - and so he has decided to embrace the idea.
He says, "Before the end of the year, for sure, you'll hear a rumble. I think now might be the proper time (to do this)."
The group signed to Motown after finding acclaim as the Jackson 5's support act. Richie quit the band in the early 1980s and embarked on a very successful solo career, but the group continues to this day with Walter Orange as frontman.
