Liv Tyler has given birth to a baby boy.

The 'Leftovers' actress, who already has son Milo, 10, with ex-husband Royston Langdon, welcomed her second son into the world with her partner David Gardner on Wednesday (11.02.15)

A representative for the couple told PEOPLE.com: ''He's healthy and everyone is very happy.''

However, a family source has claimed the tiny tot will have to remain in hospital for the time being so that doctors can keep an eye on him because he was born six-and-a-half weeks early.

The name of the little one is yet to be announced.

The 37-year-old star confirmed she was expecting a baby in December after she admitted all her dreams are coming true because she's been ''longing'' for another child for seven years.

She said previously: ''For seven years, I'd been saying I wanted to do an HBO show with an ensemble cast. And I wanted the house in the country. And getting to have another child? If you knew me well, they were the things my heart longed for. And they all came together, like a speeding freight train, in one year.''

Liv has been able to fulfil her other two desires by starring in 'The Leftovers' as well as renovating a home in Hudson, New York.

Meanwhile, David - who is best friends with David Beckham - has a seven-year-old son called Grey, with his ex-wife Davinia Taylor.
