Liza Minnelli was forced to cancel her joint concert with actor/singer Alan Cumming on Monday (04Aug14) on doctors' orders.

The 68-year-old Cabaret star was slated to join The Good Wife actor for a sold-out concert in Provincetown, Massachusetts, but had to pull out because of an ongoing medical condition.

A statement from Minnelli's publicist read: "Liza is under doctor's orders to continue to restrict her travel and performance schedule. Liza sends her regrets that she won't be able to perform with her dear friend Alan and will miss seeing her fans and friends in Provincetown."

However, fans were still treated to Cumming's acclaimed solo show, which was accompanied by Emmy Award-winning composer/pianist Lance Horne.

The Provincetown gig is the latest show Minnelli has been forced to cancel - she previously axed a planned concert at London's Royal Albert Hall in July (14), as well as three more dates in France and Holland, also on doctors' orders.
