London Grammar frontwoman Hannah Reid has started using alternative medicine to tackle her crippling nerves.

The singer rarely enjoys the British band's live shows because she riddled with anxiety and is constantly concerned about protecting her voice.

She has now starting practicing the Emotional Freedom Technique (Eft), which is similar to acupuncture, in an attempt to put an end to her stage fright.

Reid tells Britain's The Independent newspaper, "Sometimes the nerves (during shows) don't lift at all, and I just feel horrible and panicky throughout... doing Eft has taught me that I can help myself in dealing with my phobia. It's more manageable now, which I hope means I can at least stop it from getting any worse."

The band cancelled a string of festival shows during the summer (14) as Reid recovered from vocal problems and exhaustion.
