Manchester-based Longview are set to release their new single 'Further' through 14th Floor Recordings on July 7. 'Further' is the first single to be taken from their forthcoming debut album, Mercury, the release of which follows on July 21.
The video for Further is already on the MTV2, MTV, VH1 and The Amp playlists and you can hear the single on the XFM A list and Radio One B List + Jo Whiley has also made Further her 'Record of the Week' this week.
Longview's short history has seen the band tour for the best part of last year alongside the release of three low-key releases of tracks recorded as demos.
The combination of these releases and a rigorous touring schedule has increasingly pushed the band towards chart success, all thanks to their rapidly growing fanbase who have enthusiastically taken to the band after support slots with the likes of Athlete, Goldrush, Easyworld and Gemma Hayes.
The band's debut UK headline tour commenced in Southampton on May 18, and sees the band covering the length and breadth of the UK until July 18, when they finish the tour in Bath. Dissecting the barrage of headline shows, is a support tour with Mull Historical Society in June and an appearance on the NME Stage of this year's T In The Park festival in July. In total, the summer jaunt takes in 46 dates taking place over a mere 68 days.
