The first 1D baby has been born and he's absolutely perfect. Congratulations are definitely in order for the eldest of the group Louis Tomlinson, who has finally unveiled the first picture of his little boy who was born last week. Thankfully, he's not called Sydney Rain.

Little Freddie Tommo (don't worry, Tommo isn't his name, it's just short for Tomlinson) has made his social media debut in a gorgeous picture uploaded by the boyband singer, soon followed by one from the baby's mother stylist Briana Jungwirth. Born on January 22nd 2016, he's revealed to be in perfect health and, while Louis and Briana aren't a couple so to speak, Louis has been pretty hands on, even renting out a property for his ex in Calabasas and another close by for himself so that he can be there for Freddie.

'Meet my little lad, Freddie', he told his followers on Twitter, alongside a black and white photo of himself holding the baby. 'Freddie Tommo', he added, before thanking his fans for their messages of support. After rumours began to circulate last week about the apparent birth, he confirmed the news with a message reading: 'I'm pleased to say my baby son was born yesterday. He is healthy and pretty amazing. I'm very happy!'

The child's full name is Freddie Reign, according to Briana's Instagram post - not Sydney Rain as was previously reported. And not Conchobar either; an apparent alternative spelling of 'Connor' that was allegedly chosen after losing a bet with One Direction's Niall Horan.

While the pair are no longer romantically linked, it is thought that Louis and Briana met through mutual friends about a year following Louis' split with Eleanor Calder. Reports in The Sun suggested that he could pay child support of up to £2 million (about $2.8 million) including the rent of Briana's house. 'Louis is doing everything he can to provide for mother and baby', a source told The Sun. 'He's very wealthy but is still being hugely generous in the amount he is giving. He's taking being a dad very seriously.'

TMZ claim that it's more like $600k a year, but Briana is being co-operative with the financial arrangements, insisting that she doesn't want to be 'greedy' or use the child as 'a meal ticket'. It pays to be safe when it comes to money of this amount, and HollywoodLife recently reported that, while Louis was thrilled to become a father, he has demanded a DNA test for his own security. 'Louis does trust Briana but just for peace of mind he did have a paternity test done', a source told the publication.

Welcome to the world Freddie Reign!
