The 1D star took to the social media site to post a picture from his performance on the X Factor over the weekend of his new song, Just Hold On, which he dedicated to his late mum.
The track itself has made its way to the top of the chart and will provide tough competition for the Christmas number one spot and reduced fans and even almost Louis' former mentor, Simon Cowell, to tears.

Following the post, thousands more messages of support flooded his account and the image has racked up a massive one million likes so far.
Louis has been inundated with support both from fans and also from his former bandmates since the tragic news.
Niall Horan, Harry Styles and Liam Payne all travelled to London to be there for their fellow X Factor star.
