Fact: An original manuscript signed by legendary German composer Ludwig Van Beethoven was sold at auction on Thursday (22Nov12) for $384,900 (£241,250). The loose pages of the slow movement of String Quartet in C, op.59, no.3, which were once owned by Frederic Chopin, were bought by a private European collector at Christie's in London.

Fact: <p>An 80-page score written by Ludwig Van Beethoven has sold for $2 million (GBP1.1 million) at auction in London. The script entitled GROSSE FUGE had been missing for 15 years. </p>
