Lupita Nyong'o's emergence into show business is still going hot.

The 31 year-old actress has been named the newest ambassador of French beauty brand Lancôme, joining the likes of Kate Winslet and Sandra Bullock.

This comes just a month after her win at the 86th annual Academy-Awards for Best Supporting Actress in '12 Years A Slave.'

Nyong'o has already made a lasting impression in Hollywood for her flawless fashion choices while attending red carpet events, so it was a natural progression to become the face of a beauty brand.

The company first made the announcement on Friday (April 4th) by posting a stunning photograph of Nyong'O on its official Twitter account.

The Mexican-born actress then shared a video on her Instagram page confirming the news, saying she is "incredibly excited" for this opportunity.

The caption that accompanied the video read, "Me + LANCÔME. #TGIF The secret's out. And it feels GREAT. @LancomeUSA #Lancome."

In a statement released by the French company, Lupita said: "I am truly honoured to join the Maison Lancôme, a brand with such a prestigious history that I have always loved.

"I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated, but should instead be an expression of a woman's freedom to be herself."

Nyong'o, who was raised in Kenya, has stated to WWD in a recent interview, that although she is now in the bright lights of Hollywood she has no intention of changing.

"Hollywood is really just made up of a whole bunch of people making movies everywhere," she said. "In my version, the Hollywood that I live in, is very much peopled by people I've known from before."

She is now the fourth Academy-Award winner to be the face of Lancôme.
