The Home Alone actor has been the subject of numerous death hoaxes, the most recent circulated just seven months ago. As the Independent reports, the rumours were the result of an article published on a website called MSNBC.com (please note this is not the real MSN). The report claimed Culkin was found dead at his Manhattan apartment on Friday (7th November) and that multiple unconfirmed reports claimed the actor had been found dead but no foul play had been suspected.

Aside from being very much alive, Culkin wasn't even in Manhattan when the rumours emerged. Culkin is currently in the band Pizza Underground and is on tour in the US. The band, via its Twitter page, confirmed Culkin was very much alive and joked about the hoax. After confirming the band was on tour they uploaded a picture of the whole band, including Culkin, after a pit-stop in Los Angeles. The band joked 'One of the great things you can do when you're alive is stop for lunch in Breaux Bridge, LA.'

Culkin is not the only celebrity to have been the subject of death hoaxes. Actors such as Wayne Knight (Jurassic Park), Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass), Jim Carrey (The Mask) and Eddie Murphy (Dreamgirls) have all been victims of false reports.
