Many social media users were very worried when an internet hoax quickly spread that claimed Macaulay Culkin was found dead in his New York City apartment on Saturday (Nov 8th), but the 34 year-old actor confirmed he is still alive by mocking the death rumours.

The NYC-based rock band The Pizza Underground, which Culkin sings for, took to Twitter to post several photographs of the former child star, the first features him posing while holding up a soda with the caption, "We're on tour you silly people / @anchovywarhol's."

Another uploaded picure of Culin and the rest of the band was captioned, "One of the great things you can do when you're alive is stop for lunch in Breaux Bridge, LA."

However, the funniest snap of the day came when he recreated a scene from the 1989 comedy film 'Weekend at Bernie's,' which is about two men who try to pretend their murdered employer Bernie is really alive, in order to save their own.

"Weekend at bernies with @anchovywarhol #greenroom," the band's handle captioned the photo of Culkin, who pretended to be dead while being held in the arms of his bandmate.

Culkin re-enacted the moment from the cult classic comedy once again, while onstage playing at the Fun Fun Fun Fest in Austin, Texas, which a fan then posted on Instagram.
