| The first single to be taken from her new album The Id, Sweet Baby is yet another unmistakable soul induced Macy tune with a vocal as distinct and cool as ever. Unfortunately the addition of Miss Badu isnt prominent enough to warrant too much excitation. She can only just about be heard in the backing chorus a chorus that, by the way, sounds suspiciously like Lou Reeds infamous Walk On The Wildside. As a song Sweet Baby is pleasant enough, sounding perhaps just that little bit too similar to her previous singles and leading to the argument that her choice of songs arent making the most of her enormous vocal talent. |
