For millions across the globe, 'Game Of Thrones' is the most exciting and intriguing television series the world has ever seen. With more twists and turns than most of the shows we see on the small screen, the story has shocked with its most brutal moments and stunned those who are now anxiously waiting its conclusion.

Based on the incomplete novel series 'A Song of Ice & Fire' by George R. R. Martin, even readers who have been with the franchise for some time won't now know how everything will be tied up - if at all! Everybody's excited to see how things conclude, and it would seem that even the show's leading actors and actresses are looking forward to the end; albeit for differing reasons.

Maisie Williams is one of those actresses. Having been with the show since the very beginning, she's taken on the role of Arya Stark and truly made it her own. Evolving the character's personality whenever the time called for it, the Arya of today is very different to the Arya we saw right at the start of the show. Having dedicated seven seasons and an upcoming eighth of the show to her life however, Williams is ready to move on.

Speaking at the British Independent Film Awards nominations event to BBC Newsbeat, the actress said: "I'm really excited for 'Game of Thrones' to finish, and there's going to be time for me to do whatever I want. That's just incredibly exciting, and it will be nice to pick roles that I want to do. I can show the world what sort of actress I want to be and shape my career a little bit."

She added: "I've just started a production company, so I'm now realising how hard the industry can be. Coming back here and listening to all the films nominated and getting back into watching independent films just makes me realise how much I miss it. It's the only place I've ever really wanted to be, to be honest."

Williams has had a crammed schedule ever since shooting to fame on 'GoT', taking a role in 'Doctor Who' back in 2015 and leading the Netflix original film 'iBoy' earlier this year. Impressing in both of those, as well as a number of short films and other projects, it's going to be very interesting to see where she takes her career when all is said and done in the Seven Kingdoms and beyond.
