Manolo Blahnik has teamed up with the British Fashion Council on a creative project for London Fashion Week.

The iconic footwear designer has created the exclusive imagery for the autumn/winter 2013-14 show schedule, which takes place in the UK capital next February.

The sketches will be seen across all campaign and marketing material - both print and digital - for the prestigious event.

Manolo - who was given a blank canvas and an open brief - said in a statement: ''English women and their style inspire me tremendously. This series of drawings represents some of the figures I adore and who have influenced my life and work. I like extreme girls and the combination of the poise, the grandeur and the beauty of English women.''

Caroline Rush, chief executive of the BFC, said: ''We are so pleased to be collaborating with Manolo Blahnik, our BFA Outstanding Achievement winner for 2012, in this capacity. Manolo's sketches are world-famous and it will be both great fun and inspirational to see these displayed across London Fashion Week in February 2013.''

Last season's campaign material was created by Jonathan Saunders.
