Disney's Sleeping Beauty Castle made for the perfect backdrop for the couple to get re-hitched.
Mariah Carey went with a fairy tale theme for the renewal of her vows with hubby Nick Canon at (where else) the most magical place on earth. The couple, along with some 250 of their closest friends, closed down Disneyland for the day, presumably because it ain’t magical, if it isn’t exclusive.
"On our way to renew our vows. I love you Nick Cannon shut down Disneyland," Carey tweeted. "Celebrating our anniversary and dembabies birthday (can you believe they're 2??)."
Carey’s twin girls Morroccan and Monroe were born on April 30th 2011, exactly three years to the day after Carey and Canon’s wedding in 2008. Naturally, for the A-List family this means a chance to do things twice as big. According to Entertainment Tonight, via Reuters, the reception in the Disney theme park's Fantasyland area was adorned with 15,000 blooms and 10,000 crystals.
Don’t let it ever be said that the Carey-Cannon family does anything half way. The pair have been renewing their vows every year on the day of their anniversary and though sometimes it’s a more public affair, the romance is strong in those two. Last year, the couple jetted off to Paris to renew their vows at the Eiffel Tower. And while some would call the whole thing a bit cliché, you can’t deny that these two do it in style.
Some people have candlelit dinners, Cannon and Carey just shut down Disneyland.
