Khloe Kardashian never got the call about X-Factor season three.
Khloe Kardashian probably started worrying after hearing that Mario Lopez was returning as host of The X Factor USA for season three. The Fox show was happy to offer Lopez a new contract, though there was nothing for Kardashian, whose hosting during season two was met with widespread criticism.
It has been widely rumored that Kardashian would not be returning to her role, and X-Factor producers confirmed the axing this week. "Khloe Kardashian will not be returning to co-host The X Factor. We really enjoyed working with her and wish her all the best in her future endeavors," said Simon Cowell in a statement. The music mogul made light of the situation, adding, "Hosting a live show and keeping the judges - especially Demi [Lovato] - in line, is not an easy job, but Mario is a pro and we are glad he's coming back."
It's unclear whether Cowell will be looking to recruit a new co-host for Lopez, though he clearly has the ability to host alone. "I'm excited to officially announce I'm returning to the @TheXFactorUSA team! We're coming back stronger & better than ever... Can't wait," Lopez tweeted this week.
Mario Lopez’ daughter was sporting a ‘big sister’ top following the news that he and his wife Courtney Mazza are expecting another child.
The X-Factor host posted a picture of the personalised top with the caption: “Congratulations Gia on your big news!!! You're gonna be an awesome big sister... @CourtneyMLopez & I are so proud.” Talking to Extra, the couple shared the happy news, saying, “I am the happiest father in the world. We cannot wait to welcome baby Lopez number two into our lives.' Mazza said, according to Examiner, "I'm due around Gia's birthday [September 11]. I'm in that stage where I can't fit into my regular clothes anymore, but I can't fit into maternity clothes yet either. But I'm good, it's all good!" There’s even better news for Lopez, as he’s been invited back to host another season of The X-Factor while Khloe Kardashian wasn’t. Fans had complained about the on stage chemistry, with many complaints focussed on the fact Kardashian seemed uncomfortable and awkward.
So it looks like he'll have to juggle two kids (not literally) and another X-Factor run! Lopez and Mazza were married at the end of 2012, on December 1st. The wedding took place at Joe Francis' $30 million Punta Mita estate in Mexico in. Eva Longoria was one of the guests in attendance.

Extra and X-Factor host set for second child
Congratulations to Mario Lopez and his wife Courtney who are expecting their second child! The pair only married last December in Punta Mita, Mexico, but they’re clearly committed to expanding the Lopez family and announced the news on Extra!
The couple already have their two year-old daughter Gia, and she was at The Grove with the pair, wearing a cute t-shirt that had the message ‘Big Sister Gia’ emblazoned on it. “I am the happiest father in the world” We cannot wait to welcome baby Lopez number two into our lives” Mario told Extra. Meanwhile, Courtney went into further detail with Us Weekly. "I'm due around Gia's birthday [September 11]. I'm in that stage where I can't fit into my regular clothes anymore but I can't fit into maternity clothes yet either. But I'm good, it's all good!"
She also went into detail about how they were explaining to Gia that she was going to have a new sibling to play with. "We're trying to explain it to her, so now she points at Courtney's belly and says, 'Baby baby!' Once mama really starts popping out I think she'll understand more . . . I can't wait to expand the Lopez family!" Lopez is , of course, the current Extra and X Factor host, as well as a former cast member of long running 90’s teen comedy Saved By The Bell.

Khloe Kardashian is easily the most watchable member of the Kardashian family, and is one of the only facets of clan's reality shows that make them remotely worth watching. Naturally, therefore, she's entertaining, but when it comes to hosting a structured show such as the X Factor she falls flat. To be fair to her, the show as a whole didn't live up to expectations and Britney Spears, a judge on the last season, is also not going to be returning to its fourth US season. "They are asking Mario [Lopez] to come back, but not Khloe," an insider confirms to the website.
So that's who's leaving and staying, but who'll be new to the show? Well, Cheryl Cole, a British singer who had a successful run in the UK version of the show was unceremoniously sacked by Simon Cowell two years ago (about which she has since filed a lawsuit for being underpaid) but apparently she's in talks to return! As Marki Costelli, a hosting expert, said of Khloe, she may have brought over some of her existing fans to the show, but clearly they didn't stay, and "at the end of the day, when she doesn't know what she is doing, are you helping your show or hurting it?" Although Cole doesn't have a strong US fan base, at least she knows what she's doing.

Never-single Swift and ladies man Styles dated briefly earlier this year, with reports of a reconciliation first mentioned when the two were spotted around Los Angeles earlier this month. Now Lopez has given his verdict on the matter and said that he is all but certain that the pair are an item once again.
The funny man and host was speaking on his 104.3 MY FM US radio show on Friday (Nov 16) night, when he said that he witnessed the pair walking "hand-in-hand" just prior to her performance on the show on Thursday (Nov 15). He went on to say that he got the chance to ask Styles what he was doing in LA during the filming of the show, to which Styles replied that he was accompanying Swift.

First, though, she had to dispel the myth that she knew about her new role all along. "I'm not a liar. I like to say what it is. Everyone thought that I was just BS-ing everyone," she explains. "They were like, 'So you got the job?' I was like, 'I promise you, no one has confirmed anything with me. I would tell everyone if I did!' I was just waiting for someone to tell me, but everyone knew before me!" Even though she won't be alone in hosting the popular talent show, with Mario Lopez set to halve the duties with her, Khloe is still scared of what she has to do. "I'm so sick to my stomach that I have to be by his side. You know when you're that unattractive it's just hard to be with someone," she joked.
But in all seriousness, she's glad of the co-host. "I mean, he's seriously the nicest guy ever. I'm in good company," she says. "He's great at what he does, so it takes some of the pressure off of me because I am nervous. I've never hosted before. I think we're going to have fun; we've known each other for a while. I feel I'll be comfortable around him, so he'll make it easy for me."
The American X-Factor producers have officially confirmed that Khloe Kardashian and Mario Lopez will be teaming up to host the show. Khloe is used to reality TV so working on the talent show will be a breeze. Mario found fame on '90s classic, Saved By the Bell but more recently has been the host on MTV's Best American Dance Crew for seven seasons. The duo will replace Welshman Steve Jones who has hosted the show alone since its original export to the US.
Simon Cowell commented that "The worst kept secret in Hollywood is out," he said, "Mario and Khloe are our hosts. They will debut on our first live show in November, and I couldn't be happier." The Voice's rival has experienced low ratings, but this season it's had a massive shake up with tons of new faces, including Britney Spears and Demi Lovato, in attempts to freshen it up and draw a stronger crowd.
The Guardian reports Lopez's reaction, he said: "I'm very excited to be joining The X Factor team, I love the show, and I've been a big fan of Simon Cowell and the judges for a long time. Khloe and I have been friends for years, and I know we'll be a great team and have a blast."
Khloe Kardashian's X Factor deal is finally complete, though negotiations were apparently minutes away from being scrapped. Kardashian signed a contract to become the new co-host of Simon Cowell's stateside version of the singing contest this week, though her mother Kris Jenner had to step in to rescue the talks.
According to sources who spoke with TMZ.com, negotiations ground to a halt after E! - the home of Khloe's Kardashian show - and Fox failed to work out a deal for the reality star to appear on both networks. She has long been associated with the E! brand and the network were understandably concerned at losing her to rivals Fox. Nevertheless, good old Kris Jenner got word of the hold up and decided to muscle her way into the talks - basically telling television bosses that her daughter would be the new host of the X Factor. An insider privy to the negotiations said Kris "stepping in over the agents.over everyone" and forced both networks to sit down with her and thrash out a deal. The executives - probably weeping and blubbing "Yes, Mrs Jenner" - duly signed the contracts. As one source added, "She just knows how to make sh*t happen."
Khloe and television star Mario Lopez will co-host the show from November, when the live rounds get underway.
