Superproducer Mark Ronson has dedicated his new album to his late pal and collaborator Amy Winehouse.

The pair formed a formidable team, working together on Winehouse's Grammy Award-winning Back To Black album and on her cover of The Zutons' hit Valerie, which became a smash hit in 2007.

Ronson was left heartbroken by her tragic death in 2011, but it's clear the late singer is still very much on his mind as he has paid tribute to Winehouse in a handwritten note posted to Twitter.com on Tuesday (13Jan15).

The Dj reveals his message, which also honoured the legacies of Al Green songwriter Teenie Hodges and French hip-hop producer Dj Mehdi, was accidentally left off the liner notes for his new album Uptown Special when it went to print.

He explains, "For some reason, the dedication section was left off my album printing. I'm sure they'll fix it for the future, but for public record..."

In the touching note, he writes: "This album is dedicated to the memory of Teenie Hodges and Dj Mehdi and to Amy Winehouse... Although I wish you were still here, I'm always thinking of you, inspired by you and your music lives on in myself and everyone who ever felt it. Love, Mark".

Hodges died last summer (14), aged 68, while 34-year-old Mehdi suffered a fatal fall at a party in 2011.
