'Uptown Funk' hitmaker Mark Ronson has claimed his style has improved with age.
Mark Ronson thinks his dress sense has improved with age.
The 40-year-old producer is widely considered to be one of the best-dressed men in the music industry, but he's admitted he hasn't always been as stylish as he is now.
The 'Uptown Funk' hitmaker said: ''In the beginning, when I first started wearing nice suits, in about 2007, I was psyched to finally have something nice to wear after years of just wanting to look like the Beastie Boys, wearing Pumas with fat laces and band T-shirts.
''But then that can involve going a bit too far. Like wearing a bright pink suit with pink shoes. Eventually, however, you gravitate towards what you're good at. And what you can actually pull off.''
Mark's improved sense of style was not triggered by one specific event, but he admitted his friend and collaborator Amy Winehouse proved to be hugely influential.
He told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper: ''I really can't remember why it happened. Even in [the movie] 'Amy' I'm a bit messy, slightly hungover maybe, and I'm wearing a red hot chilli peppers T-shirt that's just a little too tight.
''But getting involved with Amy Winehouse's music was definitely the spark.''
