Mark Ronson believes Amy Winehouse is the most ''talented'' artist he's ever met.

The 39-year-old music star - who produced the late singer's hit record 'Back to Black', her second and final studio album before her tragic death in July 2011 - has praised her remarkable ability and doesn't think he'll ever meet someone with as much passion as her.

He said: ''I don't know if I'll ever meet a singer/songwriter more talented than Amy Winehouse. I don't think I would have been able to do that music or had those hits with anyone else.''

The producer - who is married to French actress Joséphine de La Baume - also opened up on what attracted him to working with the legendary star and why he thought she was so special.

He explained to Australia's Marie Claire magazine: ''I think I was still living in New York when we met. She came to my studio and we had this instant rapport. She said she wanted to make an album that sounded like the stuff they played in her local pub. She loved soul. Amy was supposed to go back to London the next day.

''I was really inspired by her and I wrote the music for 'Back to Black'. She came by the next morning and was really into it. She wrote the lyrics in like two hours. It was so honest, there was no filter, editing so whatever came, came through her like this and [makes a frantic writing gesture] into the pen and that's why she wrote so quick.''
