Uk Release Date Out Now

Having had the success he had with Warners particulary in the UK it leaves you more than a lil surprised that Universal have almost kept the release of this album so quiet it is the worst kept secret in music history. Opening with “All Because Of You” a strong well written, well vocalled, mid beat club cut.

The album moves into slick, silky, smooth mould with the breathtaking “Sex Wit You”. The production, lyrics and vocal performance is jaw dropping. If Marques didn’t already hold the key to the majority of the urban female fraternity hearts he certainly will after this, believe. In similar mould “Marriage” pulls out all the smooth stops. Back to edgy driven R&B is the ass shaking Joe Budden featured “12 O’Clock”. “Naked” gets us back into serious slow grind mood and as with the stunning “Sex With You” is produced by the amazing Underdogs. “Do You Mind” offers more quality on the slow jam tip and the chorus is simply sublime. “Cheat” continues the slow flow but this is more about his confessions of cheating than actually his love for his woman. The mid beat swayer “I Wasn’t Ready” fits well with a strong rap break from the under rated Rufus Blaq. “Something Else” literally is just that, droning drums, face slapping snares all gel well together, in fact if Justine Timberlake recorded it everyone would playlist it and it would be a hit, so lets hope Marques gets the same break. All in all this album is really good and deserves a lot better support than Universal are giving it.
