It’s been a long time coming for ‘Big Bang Theory’ fans, but it looks like Sheldon and Amy are finally going to consummate their relationship in an upcoming episode of the show’s ninth season. The couple have long been a fan-favourite pairing on the series, but at the end of season eight viewers had feared the two could be finished for good.

During season eight’s finale earlier this year, Amy (played by Mayim Bialik) ended her relationship with Sheldon (Jim Parsons) over Skype, saying that she needed time alone. So far in season nine we’ve seen Sheldon attempt to woo Amy back with little luck, but it seems this could be set to change very soon.

After watching her sister Kaley Cuoco become rich and famous through CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory, Briana Cuoco seems to have decided she'd like a taste of that fame and wants to make her name as a singer.

Briana's name may not be as big as her big sister's but she's been steadily working her way up for years, appearing on CBS' The Mentalist and HBO's The Newsroom. She even made a guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory this year where she starred as a restaurant guest and helped choreograph a flash mob as a surprise for the show's creators.

The Voice returned to TV screens on Monday night (23 Sept.) and among the surprises in store for viewers was the appearance of The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco and her sister, Briana, who will appear as a contestant this season. Briana and her famous sis were shown in a short clip when presenter Carson Daley informed her that she will be taking on the judges for a blind audition later in the season.

Kaley will obviously have nothing but support for her sister when she does appear on the show, and she isn't alone as her Big Bang Theory co-stars have also given Briana the thumbs up and said she should do well on the show. The news that Briana will appear on the talent contest slipped out earlier than the opening episode of the fifth season of The Voice thanks to Twitter. This gave Access Hollywood ample time to quiz Kaley's co-stars on the subject on the red carpet before the 65th Emmy Awards on Sunday.

“She has a beautiful voice,” Mayim Bialik, who plays Dr Amy Farrah-Fowler on the show, told AH, adding, “She is phenomenal. She’s very, very talented.”

The Ladies Of 'The Big Bang Theory' Band Together To Demand Higher Paychecks

Mayim Bialik Melissa Rauch Jim Parsons Johnny Galecki

Two of the ladies of The Big Bang Theory cast - Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch - have reportedly banded together and earned themselves a significant pay increase for the show’s upcoming season. After a highly rated previous season and given the kind of script they’ve had to work on, it sounds like a well deserved raise, although the exact amount has not been announced by Deadline, who originally reported the story.

Parsons heads up a cast of extremely well paid actors.

However, according to CNN, both actresses new salaries are somewhere in the neighborhood of $60,000 per episode, which is more than double their current salaries of $20,000 - $30,000 per episode. That’s not the end of the pay raises though – by the end of their contracts, both Bialik and Rauch are expected to earn about $100,000 per episode.

The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik Fights And Writes For Her Kids

Mayim Bialik

Earlier this month The Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik announced that she and her husband would be divorcing, and now as USA Today reports she'll be fighting for joint physical and legal custody of the two children she and Michael Stone brought into the world.

The documents released today by the L.A. County Superior Court say that they are divorcing on the basis of 'irreconcilable differences'. In her original statement on Kveller.com she said: "Divorce is terribly sad, painful and incomprehensible for children. It is not something we have decided lightly."

"The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision; relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose."

Mayim Bialik: Divorce Has Nothing To Do With Parenting Techniques!

Mayim Bialik Michael Stone

Mayim Bialik, the Big Bang Theory star who is to divorce from husband Michael Stone, says the split has nothing to do with her left-field parenting techniques. The couple, who have two children together, cite "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for wanting to end their nine year marriage.

Mayim, who previously starred in Blossom, assured fans on her website that the divorce had nothing to do with her parenting style. "The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision," she said, adding, "relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose. The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible. Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that's what we are focusing on." Bialik explained her "hands-on style of parenting" in her book Beyond the Sling: A Real-Life Guide to Raising Confident, Loving Children the Attachment Parenting Way. In it, she spoke of following the Attachment Parenting method originally coined by Dr William Sears, a U.S paediatrician. The unconventional technique involves potty training with diapers and wearing a baby in a sling to ensure they remain physically close to their parent's body. At the time of publication, the Los Angeles-based actress told Newsok.com, "When we treat our children kindly and expect love and give love, we hopefully are raising children that then expect that and give that to the world around them. It is very consistent with a 'green' style of parenting." Despite being a well-paid actress, Bialik and her husband lived in a one-bedroom house and encouraged their children to sleep in the same bed. There was also no playroom as neither parent believed in supplying their children with expensive toys.

Bialik, who achieved her PhD in neuroscience in 2008, plays Dr Amy Fowler - the "female equivalent" of Sheldon Cooper - on The Big Bang Theory. She hit the headlines in August after injuring herself in a Los Angeles car crash. For a time it was rumored she would lose a thumb as a result of the incident.

Mayim Bialik Michael Stone

Mayim Bialik and husband Michael Stone are to divorce after nine years together, according to TMZ.com. The couple - who have two children together - cite the usual "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for seeking to end their marriage.

Mayim, who previously starred in Blossom though is now best known for her role in The Big Bang Theory, had previously spoke of allowing her children to sleep in her bed, but told fans on her website, "The hands-on style of parenting we practice played no role in the changes that led to this decision," adding, "relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose. The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible. Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that's what we are focusing on."

Bialik, who is a mother to two boys, Miles, 7, and Frederick, 4, is also well known for her parenting book Beyond The Sling, in which she revealed that she still breastfeeds her 4 year-old son. It's been a pretty tough year for the family, with Mayim badly injuring herself in a car accident in Los Angeles in August. It was initially thought she would lose her thumb as a result of the crash, though assured fans that all fingers would remain intact.

"We Will Be Ok": Big Bang Theory's Mayim Bialik Divorcing Michael Stone

Mayim Bialik

The actress who plays Amy, Sheldon Cooper's girlfriend, in American comedy The Big Bang Theory is divorcing her husband of 9 dears, due to what she describes as "irreconcilable differences", via her parenting blog.

She said "After much consideration and soul-searching, Michael and I have arrived at the decision to divorce... Divorce is terribly sad... It is not something we have decided lightly." She added, "Relationships are complicated no matter what style of parenting you choose... The main priority for us now is to make the transition to two loving homes as smooth and painless as possible. Our sons deserve parents committed to their growth and health and that's what we are focusing on. Our privacy has always been important and is even more so now, and we thank you in advance for respecting it as we negotiate this new terrain." She and husband Michael Stone have two sons, aged 7 and 4. Bialik has written a book about parenting, called Beyond the Sling: A Real-Life Guide to Raising Confident, Loving Children the Attachment Parenting Way.

Her children and issues of parenting are certainly the prime concern for the Emmy nominated actress who also has a PhD in neuroscience. The news comes as a surprise not only because of her ardent commitment to parenthood, but also her strong Jewish faith. We wish the whole family all the best.

Terrible
In the history of men going to the movies, there are few horrors as singularly terrifying as the movie Beaches. With its combination of precious tragicomedy plot, copious singing, and Bette Midler, the horror trifecta is already complete. But there's plenty more: Not only is Midler heard here singing about her tits (her words), Mayim "Blossom" Bialik plays the 11-year-old version of brazen Bette. Chills don't get much colder than this.

Watching the 1989 movie today, it's not just an unabashed chick flick, it's also revealed as a plain-old Bad Movie. For starters, it's not really about anything, instead preferring to work (or not) as a collection of loose scenes that illustrate the ups and downs of two friends (Midler and Barbara Hershey) from their pre-teens to the grave. Things happen, but not much. The film's only real plot point comes in the last act (spoilers ahead if you care), when Hershey's character croaks on us, sticking Midler with her daughter.
