Fears are growing for the health of Meat Loaf after the American rocker collapsed on-stage for the second time in three days. Meat Loaf first sparked worries after fainting at a concert in Pittsburgh on Thursday, but the 63-year-old passed out again following a performance in New Jersey on Sunday (31st July 2011), reports Tmz.com.
The singer, real name Marvin Lee Aday, had to be given oxygen but managed to recover after ten minutes of using the breathing apparatus. The 'Bat Out of Hell' star, who suffers from asthma, had just completed his set at the New Jersey Balloon Festival when he collapsed backstage. Photographers captured the singer lying on the grass whilst he received attention from medical staff. The scare comes after Meat Loaf shocked fans by collapsing on stage during Thursday's show in Pittsburgh. He was midway through an energetic rendition of 'I Would Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That) before falling to the ground and lying unconscious. Miraculously, he managed to finish the show, even joking with the crowd about his struggle with asthma.
Touring almost every year since his original 'Bat Out Of Hell Tour' in 1977, Meat Loaf began his current worldwide jaunt in July 2010.
