Childhood: Megan Fox was born to Darlene Tonachio and Franklin Fox in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. She attended Catholic school for 12 years. However, when she was young, Fox's parents divorced and she was raised by her mother and her stepfather, Tony Tonachio, in a strict environment. As a result, Megan only stayed with them until she earned enough money to support herself.
At the age of five, Megan Fox started training in dance and drama, at the Kingston, Tennessee community centre. At the age of 10, after moving to Florida, Megan Fox continued in her training and successfully entered a number of modeling contests.
Career: Megan Fox made her acting debut in the 2001 film Holiday in the Sun, alongside Ashley Olsen. The following year, Fox landed a role in Ocean Ave., a TV series lasting two seasons. She then went on to star in an episode of What I Like About You, entitled 'Like A Virgin (Kinda)'.
In 2003, Megan Fox was an uncredited extra in Bad Boys II, which starred Will Smith and Martin Lawrence. She then landed another guest-staring role in an episode of Two and a Half Men, which stars Charlie Sheen, Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones.
Megan Fox's film debut came in 2004 with Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen, which also starred Lindsay Lohan. Fox then landed another role in the sitcom Hope & Faith, replacing Nicole Paggi in the role of Sydney Shanowski.
2007 saw Megan Fox land the role of Mikaela Barnes in Transformers. The film was based on the cartoon series of the same name. In the film, Fox played Shia Le Boeouf's character and also shared screen time with John Turturro and Hugo Weaving. She reprised the role in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.
In 2007, Fox starred in How To Lose Friends and Alienate People, along with Simon Pegg, Jeff Bridges and Kirsten Dunst. The following year, she starred opposite Bruce Willis and Demi Moore's daughter, Rumer Willis, in the film Whore.
In 2009, Megan Fox landed her first lead role in Jennifer's Body, which was written by the Oscar-winning screenwriter Diablo Cody (writer of Juno). Jennifer's Body also stars Adam Brody and Amanda Seyfried.
Megan Fox's role in Jonah Hex saw her feature alongside Josh Brolin and Will Arnett.
Personal Life: Megan Fox has at least eight tattoos, including Marilyn Monroe's face on her forearm.
