Megan Fox is usually known to be very discreet when it comes to talking about her personal life, especially her husband of four years Brian Austin Green and their two children two young boys, Noah, 2, and 8 month-old Bodhi, but in a rare occurrence the Hollywood actress joyfully speaks about her family life.

Fox recently gushed about motherhood

"I love our family-I have a little football team that's going to take care of me," the 28-year-old starlet told The Daily Mail. "I like being around boys and being the center of attention in my family because I'm the matriarch, the queen bee. My husband is the sensitive type, he's not macho. And I'm going to raise our boys like that: sensitive, sweet, chivalrous types."

Despite reviews so appalling they bordered on the ridiculous, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles should comfortably overhaul Guardians of the Galaxy at the box-office this weekend, on its way to a cool $50 million debut. The Michael Bay produced Megan Fox starrer is exceeding expectations, with Paramount originally estimating its debut at around $40 million.

Look at that Turtle.

Marvel's Guardians is no slouch and is expected to take $40 million in its second weekend for a global total of $300 million. A sequel for that movie is already confirmed, but at this rate, Bay and his team might have to start thinking about investing more time in those wise-cracking Turtles.

Despite the fact it has been panned by critics and holds a dismal 20% 'Certified Rotten' on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the cinematic reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles franchise looks like it's headed to the top of the U.S box office.

Projections estimate the Michael Bay-produced film will take over $50 million in its opening week, meaning it is on course to overtake current number one at box office, Guardians of the Galaxy, which shot to the top spot last week with an opening of $92 million and is still projected to take a healthy $40 million+ this week.

There's really no excuses here. Despite not one single person clamouring for a rebooted Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie, Paramount went and did it anyway - throwing $125 million at the thing and letting Michael Bay produce. The early on-set shots looked frankly ridiculous and it seems all the post-production in the world couldn't have saved this one.

The movie stars Megan Fox as April O'Neil, the Gotham reporter who works with the mutant turtles to save the city from Shredder and his evil Foot Clan. Bay had angered die-hard turtle fans (there are some, apparently) when, in 2013, he suggested scrapping the original backstory of radioactive ooze and anthropomorphic powers to have the turtles become "loveable aliens". Well, despite backing down on those threats, Bay and his team appear to have made a movie that nobody - nobody - understands.

Megan Fox, who plays intrepid reporter April O’Neil, stepped on to the red carpet with her fellow co-stars Will Arnett, William Fichtner, Alan Ritchson and Johnny Knoxville, as well as the film’s producer, Michael Bay.

Most of Hollywood ventured out for a nostalgia hit as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles enjoyed its Los Angeles premiere on August 1.

The film’s stars, Megan Fox, William Fichtne, Alan Ritchson, Johnny Knoxville and Will Arnett, were all in attendance but it was for former, and most marketable star whom left the premiere with the headlines following her critique of the critics, who haven’t been as impressed with TMNT as a certain other summer blockbuster. 

On the subject of the film’s less than desirable critical conclusion, Fox decided the reviews and the people who wrote them could “f*ck off”, alluding to Transformers: Age of Extinction, which faired poorly with the critics but scored big at the box office.

Following severe backlash, Paramount Pictures have pulled the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles poster, bearing an image of the Turtles jumping from a burning building in an unfortunate combination with the 9/11/2014 release date. While online sleuths have already released screenshots of the image, the studio made a full apology and tried to minimize the circulation of the Australian promo poster.

TMNT - Leonardo's new look wasn't the biggest controversy to come out of this film.

"We are deeply sorry to have used that artwork for the marketing materials promoting the September 11 opening in Australia," Paramount Pictures Australia said in an emailed statement to Reuters. The statement continued: "Combining that image and date was a mistake. We intended no offence and have taken immediate action to discontinue its use."

But this doesn't mean the 28 year-old actress doesn't find it difficult! In fact, Fox recently admitted that being away from her children is so hard that she may even quit acting altogether.

"I've never been an extraordinarily ambitious girl or career-oriented, but especially once I got pregnant with my first son and now [having] my second, it's so hard to be a working mom especially when your heart is not in your work, when your heart is with your family," she said to Parents magazine.
