The 33 year-old found out she was pregnant on the birthday of her husband Brian Gallagher back in January (2014).
Megan Hilty is expecting her first child with husband, Brian Gallagher.
The former 'Smash' star, who celebrated her 33rd birthday on Saturday (March 29th), confirmed the exciting hews on Twitter.
"2 years ago today I met the man of my dreams and now we're proud to announce we're starting a family! #happybirthdaytome!" she tweeted.
The acting couple, who first met at a fitness class whilst they were both working on a Broadway show, skipped out getting engaged and tied the knot back in November (2013) at the Venetian chapel in Las Vegas.
"We were so excited to be married that we skipped the engagement altogether!" Hilty said at the time.
She also announced the wedding news via Twitter, "I married the love if my life tonight at The Venetian Chapel in Las Vegas!"
Hilty tweeted The parents-to-be revealed to Us Weekly that they found out about the pregnancy back in January on Gallagher's 34th birthday.
"We took the test together," Hilty told the magazine. "It was the best present he got this year - or any other year for that matter!"
Although she is only a couple of months into the pregnancy, the 'Sean Saves the World' actress is already getting cravings for foods she cannot eat.
"Everything I can't have!" she said of her food choices. "I want sushi, tuna fish sandwiches, coffee and champagne."
"I haven't shopped for any baby things yet," Hilty continued. "But I have found some amazing maternity dresses for the summer."
Megan rose to fame through appearing on several Broadway shows, including her portrayal of 'Galinda' in 'Wicked' and as 'Doralee Rhodes' in '9 To 5: The Musical'. Most recently she starred in the musical television series 'Smash' as 'Ivy Lynn' which aired its 2nd and final season on NBC.
Gallagher is an actor and singer who is currently working on a solo album of original material.
Congratulations to the happy couple!
