Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas have signed their divorce papers.
The 57-year-old actress and the 54-year-old Spanish actor, who announced their split in June 2014 after 18 years of marriage, have both filed the final documents required to legally dissolve their union and are now waiting for a judge to sign off on them to make everything official.
Their divorce should be finalised later this week, according to gossip website TMZ.com, as the process should only take a matter of days.
Melanie, who has been divorced three times in the past, originally requested full custody of their daughter Stella, but the issue resolved itself when she turned 18 last September.
'Shrek' star Antonio previously insisted his relationship with Nicole Kimpel, whom he met at the Cannes Film Festival in the South of France in May 2014, had nothing to do with his split from the 'Working Girl' star a month later.
Speaking earlier this year, he said: ''Nicole was not the motive of my divorce. I met her at the Cannes Festival last year but we both knew where we were. I was still a married man, although things were already heading the way they have now ended up.
''With Melanie all is good, thank God. Our marriage has finished in a very natural way, there were no ashtrays thrown to the head.''
The 'Puss in Boots' star ended his first marriage to ex-wife Ana Leza in 1995.
