Melissa George has revealed it was love at first sight when she met her boyfriend Jean-David Blanc and knew instantly he'd be make a great father.
Melissa George knew she wanted to have a baby with Jean-David Blanc as soon as she met him.
The Australian actress is pregnant with her first child by the French entrepreneur and says she could tell almost instantly he would make a great father and she fell in love with him immediately.
Speaking to the new UK issue of HELLO! magazine: ''It's a cliché that when you know, you know, but it was kind of effortless. When I met Jean-David, it just evolved into an extension of our love. It's absolutely the greatest news because we're so right for each other.
''It was love at first sight. We knew, instantly. Everything else went away. Everything went quiet.''
Melissa, 37, is due to give birth in February and while they know the sex, the couple aren't going to reveal it to the world.
She said: ''The baby thing was so important for me, more important than getting a nomination or career accolades, because I'm such a family girl and I love children.''
Melissa was married to Chilean director Claudio Dabed until for 11 years until they split in 2011, but says she's not ruled out a wedding with 45-year-old Jean-David in the future.
She added: ''I'd [get married] again in a heartbeat. I don't think 'because it didn't work out the first time, it won't work out.' When you have a baby together, it's something that would be an extension.''
