Wakanda is one of Africa's biggest nations, it's still a third world country but it's also holder of many secrets. It's former ruler was King T'Chaka, the nation loved their King but he was killed by a bomb explosion, since then his son T'Challa is his rightful heir and  leader of the Black Panther tribe.

After returning to his country, T'Challa finds his country of Wakanda fragmented and in disarray; though his people are still loyal to the crown and his lineage, many people have seized the opportunity to take a piece of Wakanda for themselves - one of which T'Challa is all too familiar with.

Is 'The Matrix' Reboot Doomed To Miss The Mark?

Michael B. Jordan The Matrix

The prospect of a re-boot of such a classic franchise as 'The Matrix' should be an exciting one, but history has made us sceptical. Warner Bros. are taking on this new project as fans pray that it doesn't turn out as poorly as some of the other 90s sci-fi reimaginings of the 2000s and 2010s.

The MatrixJust how likely is 'The Matrix' to fail?

Zak Penn ('Behind Enemy Lines', 'X-Men: The Last Stand', 'Alphas') is apparently in negotiations for writing the script while 'Creed' actor Michael B. Jordan has been toted to star. According to The Hollywood Reporter, original creators the Wachowski Sisters aren't thought to be involved in the remake.

He was convincing as a rom-com fixture until he played the nasty piece of work Peter in 'Divergent', so now we're pretty sure his versatility renders him unpredictable. One look at his upcoming movie projects and you'd never think they were all starring the same guy.

Fruitvale Station Review

Essential

With his debut feature, writer-director Ryan Coogler recreates a real-life event with remarkable artistry. Even though the factual story is overwhelmed with emotion and political opinion, he never lets either swamp this film, remaining earthy and realistic in ways that allow the audience to experience what happens in a startlingly intimate, complex way.

Set over one day, New Year's Eve 2008, the film follows Oscar Grant (Michael B. Jordan), a 23-year-old on the cusp of some pivotal life choices. He loves his girlfriend Sophina (Melonie Diaz) and their young daughter Tatiana (Ariana Neal), so knows he has to stop dealing drugs and chasing women. This morning he lost his job just before throwing a birthday party for his mother (Octavia Spencer). And now he's heading across the bay to San Francisco with Sophina and his pals to celebrate 2009. But on the way home, a fight breaks out as their train pulls into Fruitvale Station, and two transport cops (Kevin Durand and Chad Michael Murray) take heavy-handed action to calm the situation.

The film opens with actual video footage of the fateful moment, as captured on a witness' mobile phone, so there's no surprise about where this is heading. Even so, the climactic sequence is so shocking that the emotionally devastation is almost unbearable. As is the outrage that police are allowed to profile racially, which in this case turned an easily resolved situation into something fatal. Amazingly, Coogler never loses his cool, fluidly writing and directing with a grounded honesty that makes everything that much more urgent.

Which One Of These Actors Should Play Tupac?

Tupac Shakur Idris Elba Mekhi Phifer Michael B. Jordan Anthony Mackie Brandon T. Jackson

18 years after the murder of Tupac Shakur the rapper will be bought back to life, this time not by a hologram projector but by an actor. The Tupac biopic is finally in the works, with rumours that Idris Elba may be lined up to play the late rapper. The biopic is set to be directed by an old friend of Shakur’s, John Singleton, who has over twenty years in the business and films such as Boyz n the Hood, Baby Boy and 2 Fast 2 Furious under his belt. Singleton directed Tupac, who starred as a young postal clerk, in his 1993 film Poetic Justice, so he was well-acquainted with the rapper. Who better to direct than someone who was accustomed to the subject of the biopic?

tupac biopic Tupac was just 25 when he was shot and killed in Las Vegas

Singleton may be the ideal director for the project, but is Idris Elba, at 41 years old, the best choice to play the rapper, who died at 25? Idris is a supremely talented actor, so we’re sure that he’ll do a stellar job, but if casting directors need a little more choice, why not try one of this lot?

The lineup for Fox’s upcoming Fantastic Four reboots is currently being finalized. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the studio is making deals with Miles Teller, Kate Mara, Michael B. Teller, Mara, Jordan and Bell will portray Marvel’s original superheroes – a scientist, his best friend, his girlfriend and her brother, who end up in a freak accident and become Mr. Fantastic, The Thing, Invisible Girl and Human Torch, respectively. They fought aliens and monsters but their arch-foe was Dr. Doom, a onetime roommate of the scientist.

The project, which has gone through a fair bit of ups and downs (the movie almost made it to production last fall, before rewrites delayed it, THR reports) now has a script, which was used for a round of read-throughs and screen tests in February.

That Awkward Moment Review

Weak

Even a strongly likeable cast can't breathe life into this ill-conceived film, which poses as a sex comedy but is ultimately timid and sappy. The premise is intriguing enough to catch our interest, but it ends up being three badly written romantic-comedies woven together in a way that makes them neither romantic nor comedic.

The story strands centre on three best buddies enjoying their late-20s in New York. Jason (Efron) is the womaniser, breaking up the moment any girl begins to get serious. Daniel (Teller) is the clown, using humour to find women, usually with the help of his friend Chelsea (Davis). And Mikey (Jordan) is the responsible one, a medical doctor happily married to Vera (Lucas). Except that she leaves him, prompting Jason and Daniel to promise to stay single with him in solidarity. Then instantly, each of them finds himself in a relationship: Jason falls for wild-girl Ellie (Poots), Daniel realises that he's in love with Chelsea, and Mikey secretly tries to get Vera back.

The problem is that there's very little chemistry between any of the characters. Not only are the love stories strained and implausible, but the bromance never even gets off the ground because filmmaker Gormican is clearly terrified of any kind of male affection. He's also not very good at depicting sexuality, with only a couple of scenes played for comedy value. In fact, all of the film's sharp edges have been surgically removed, leaving only the illusion of gross-out humour.

The movie focuses on the grandson of Rocky's famous friend and opponent, Apollo Creed, with 67-year-old Stallone revealing that he will play the courageous boxer as he trains and mentors the young Creed, played by Michael B. Stallone, who both wrote and starred in all the six 'Rocky' movies, won three Academy Awards for the first movie. In an interview with Jonathan Ross on 11th January 2014's 'An Evening with Sylvester Stallone' at the London Palladium, he revealed: ''I'm supposed to be doing a film with Ryan Coogler, who did 'Fruitvale Station', called 'Creed'. It's very interesting because people think it would be 'Rocky VII' ... it's not, I have a supporting role. It will be great to take that character, who's actually not well, and pass on his knowledge while he still has time. I think it could be a great movie and a great challenge. It is going to happen.''

That Awkward Moment Trailer

If there's no clear cut message between two people who like other, nobody knows where they stand, what to say or when to call. Jason, Daniel and Mikey go through just that when all three find themselves with girlfriends that they aren't quite sure are really girlfriends. None of them are planning on settling into a relationship, especially since Mikey has only just come out of one, but things take an unforeseen turn when Jason meets Ellie who he wants to spend all of his time with and finds himself being accused of having a girlfriend. Pretty soon though, Daniel also finds his feelings are deepening for Chelsea and Mikey still has a lot of emotions to overcome. Even when their love lives start becoming less complicated, they find themselves struggling to adapt to monogamous lives.

This romantic comedy deals with the all too real circumstances of fledgling love. It has been directed and written by Tom Gormican (co-producer of 'Movie 43') in his directorial and screenwriting debut, and production was undertaken by Scott Aversano ('School of Rock', 'Killers'), Justin Nappi ('All Is Lost'), Andrew O'Connor ('Peep Show') and Kevin Turen. 'That Awkward Moment' is set to be released in the UK on January 31st 2014.

Andrew Garfield On A Gay Spiderman: "That's Just Not Going To Work"

Andrew Garfield Emma Stone Jamie Foxx Michael B. Jordan

Andrew Garfield has progressive ideas for Spiderman. Earlier this month, the British-American star mused on the idea of Spidey turning gay, "Why can't we discover that Peter is exploring his sexuality? It's hardly even groundbreaking!" he said, in conversation with Entertainment Weekly.

The comic-book characters certainly need to move in fresh directions, whether it be time, place, or something more specific to the characters, such as gender, race or sexual orientation. The Avengers moved forward a little, the Dark Knight franchise featured giant strides for Batman, and - to some extent - The Wolverine pushed things on with its Japanese setting.

This week at San Diego Comic-Con, Garfield revisited his ideas though assured the crowd that Spiderman will not be turning gay anytime soon.

'The Wire' Star To Play Apollo Creed's Grandson In Rocky Spin-Off

Michael B. Jordan Ryan Coogler Sylvester Stallone

The Wire actor Michael B. Jordan is in talks to play Apollo Creed's grandson in MGM's Rocky spin-off, directed by Fruitvale Station filmmaker Ryan Coogler. The pair worked together on the recent Sundance winning movie about the final hours of Oscar Grant's life, and the studio are keen to keep a winning team.

The movie would be a continuation of the Rocky saga, with Sylvester Stallone reprising his role as Rocky Balboa - this time a retired fighter turned trainer.

Coogler - whose new movie won both the Grand Jury Prize and the Audience Award at Sundance - fully intends Creed to be his follow-up to Fruitvale. According to Deadline, he wants things to movie quickly and getting Michael B. Jordan to sign on the dotted line is his priority.

Go See This Movie: 'Fruitvale Station' Is An 'Unstoppable Cinematic Force'

Michael B. Jordan Melonie Diaz Octavia Spencer

Fruitvale Station - the new Oscar-tipped most by Ryan Coogler - tells the story of one of America's most unjust killings. In the early hours of New Year's Day, 2009, a young Bay Area kid by the name of Oscar Grant III was unarmed and lying face down on a subway platform in Oakland, California. Seconds later, he was shot in the back by a police officer.

The grainy cell phone footage captured by onlookers incited protests and unrest across the country, opening up a debate on law and order, violence and race, as noted in the New York Times. 'Fruitvale Station' - a movie snapped up by Harvey Weinstein for $2 million at the Sundance Film Festival - takes on extra significance given the roots of its director.

Coogler, 27, is a Bay Area native who went to film school at the University of South California. He remembers the incident all too well and does a stunning job of reconstructing it with the help of his cast Michael B. Jordan (The Wire), Melonie Diaz and Oscar winner Octavia Spencer

Fruitvale Station Stuns Sundance And Cannes, Next Stop The Oscars? [Trailer]

Michael B. Jordan Harvey Weinstein Forest Whitaker Octavia Spencer

Few had even heard of Ryan Coogler's Fruitvale Station before it won the Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. It was snapped up by Harvey Weinstein, who has a well-documented knack of taking little known movies from the film festival and turning them into Oscars gold. Will he do the same with this gritty drama? The signs look good.

Watch the Fruitvale Station trailer!

Based on a true story, it stars The Wire's Michael B. Jordan as Oscar Grant, a 22-year-old living in the San Francisco Bay area. As the New Year approaches, he become determines to turn around his life and provide for his girlfriend and 4-year-old daughter. After boarding a particularly crowded Bay Area Rapid Transit train, Oscar manages to get involved in a fight with some old adversaries and when the BART police are called, he is detained along with other passengers at Fruitvale Station. Through a cruel twist of fate, he is accidentally fatally shot in the early hours by a police officer who withdrew his gun rather than his intended taser. Oscar winner Octavia Spencer (The Help) plays Grant's mother, while Best Actor Academy Award winner Forest Whitaker (The Last King of Scotland) is one of the film's producers. This thing has pedigree.

It is due for US release on July 26th 2013, though reaction at this week's Cannes Film Festival - where it is competing in the Un Certain Regard competition - has been unanimously positive. Xan Brooks of The Guardian wrote, "Fruitvale Station made a noise at Sundance, was snapped up by the Weinsteins and played out to roaring approval here in the Un Certain Regard section."
