Catherine Zeta-Jones has completed her treatment for bipolar II disorder.
The 'Chicago' actress checked into a clinic to monitor her ongoing battle with the condition - which can cause high and low mood swings, as well as depression - in April, but she now is expected to return home today (21.05.13) after successfully finishing her latest round of medical care, according to her husband Michael Douglas.
The 'Behind the Candelabra' actor told People: ''She comes home tomorrow. She's doing a really good job of getting balanced. I'm proud of her.''
Although the 43-year-old star's condition hasn't worsened, Catherine - who has two children with Michael, Dylan, 12, and 10-year-old Carys - opted to undergo the treatment as a ''proactive'' measure.
In a statement last month, her representative: ''Catherine has proactively checked into a health care facility.
''Previously Catherine has said that she is committed to periodic care in order to manage her health in an optimum manner.''
The Welsh beauty first sought medical help for her bipolar disorder in 2011 when she checked into a Connecticut-based mental health facility. Meanwhile, Michael, 68, was also unwell as he battled throat cancer.
Michael said at the time: ''It takes a lot of courage to seek help, and I am very proud of Catherine for doing something positive about her situation. It's onwards and upwards for us both.''
