A doctor revealed Michael Jackson ''significant'' scarring in the buttocks from years of drug abuse, almost broke his needle.
Michael Jackson had ''significant'' damage on his buttocks from years of drug use, it has been claimed.
According to Dr. Stuart Finkelstein, the late King of Pop's had scars and infections on his butt caused by substance abuse and the damage was so ''extensive'' it almost broke the physician's needle when he treated and cared for Michael during his 'Dangerous World Tour' in 1993.
Dr. Finkelstein spoke about Michael's alleged drug use during a deposition earlier this year when he was required to give evidence in the wrongful death lawsuit filed by the singer's mother Katherine Jackson against AEG Live. The video of his testimony was shown in court this week.
He said: ''I attempted to give [Michael] a shot of Demerol [a painkiller] but his buttocks were so scarred up and abscessed that the needle almost bent.''
He added: ''I thought he had an opiate problem and we needed to do an intervention, he needed to be detoxed.''
During the tour, Michael is said to have been given ''two to four'' 10mg doses of the drug Demerol each day.
Dr. Finkelstein realised the pop superstar needed help for his issues and reportedly called on the late Elizabeth Taylor - a long-time friend of Michael - speak to Michael.
In his evidence, the medical expert also revealed he enjoyed a reasonably close relationship the 'Thriller' singer often watching 'The Three Stooges' with him and having squirt gun fights together.
The case continues.
