Paris Jackson has reportedly been reunited with her mother, Debbie Rowe. Debbie was married to the global pop star Michael Jackson, but when they divorced in 2001 Debbie signed away her parental rights to Michael. Paris was three years old at the time and has had practically no contact with her mother since then.

According to TMZ, Debbie and Paris spent much of Paris’ birthday together on Wednesday (April 3, 2013) and a source told the site “they’ve gotten really tight.” The sources added that the mother and daughter have met up on a number of occasions and have established a strong bond with each other. Debbie has reportedly kept the meetings quiet, rather than taking advantage of any money making opportunities that could have come her way by publicising the encounters. A source told TMZ that she “wouldn’t even consider” the prospect of making a quick buck out of the situation.

Meanwhile, Paris said to have impressed lawyers at her deposition in Jackson’s wrongful death lawsuit, filed by her grandmother Katherine Jackson. She may only be 15 but the legal professionals felt that she had shown a great deal of maturity, beyond her years. “Katherine’s lawyers demanded that Paris’ deposition take place at the courthouse so the judge could intervene if it appeared to be getting too tough for her. Luckily it didn’t come to that. Paris will have to sit for another day of questioning but she is okay with that – she is an extremely intelligent, compassionate and thoughtful young lady,” a source told Radar Online
