Michael Lohan has revealed he was high on "pot" when his daughter Lindsay was conceived.

The showbiz patriarch believes he and his then-wife Dina conceived their eldest child - who is presently being treated for drug problems at the Betty Ford Centre in Los Angeles - while staying in a chalet in Switzerland.

During the course of the evening Michael claims he experimented with the herbal high.

When asked where he and his ex-wife were when Lindsay, 24, was conceived, Michael told the Playboy Morning Show on Sirius-XM radio: "When Dina and I were in Switzerland. You're stuck in a chalet for three days so you're going to have a lot of sex."

When further probed about which sexual position they were in when Lindsay was created, he quipped: "Don't even want to go there - there are so many positions - actually probably on my hands and knees!"

When asked about whether he had used cannabis - also known as pot - at the time, Michael claimed: "It was the first time I ever smoked pot in my entire life."

Meanwhile, it has been revealed Lindsay will be allowed out of the Betty Ford Centre for Christmas Day (25.12.10).

Although she will be given a day release, the 'Machete' star will not be allowed out the state of California; a ruling which has reportedly upset her mother, who lives in New York and wanted Lindsay to spend the holiday with her at the family home.

A source said: "Lindsay won't be allowed to leave the state of California for Christmas - period. It was never a consideration for Thanksgiving and it won't be for Christmas. Dina wants her home, but Michael is supporting whatever Lindsay's treatment team is recommending."

Lindsay's legal problems stem back to her arrest for driving under The Influence (DUI) in 2007.

She is expected to be released from rehab in January.
