Mick Jagger is teaming up with legendary director Martin Scorsese to make an epic rock n' roll TV show which will span 40 years of the music industry.
The Rolling Stones frontman, who previously collaborated with Scorsese on the band's 2008 documentary film Shine A Light, is working with the moviemaker on a new project called History of Music, a TV series which will follow two friends over two decades.
The programme, which is based on an original idea by Jagger, will be a period piece and will show the music business evolving from the early days of R&B to contemporary hip-hop.
Scorsese will reportedly direct the show, with Jagger onboard as an executive producer, according to Deadline.com.
