The boxer Mickey Rourke beat in the ring in Moscow, Russia at the weekend (30Nov14) has dismissed reports suggesting he was paid to lose the fight.
At 29, Elliott Seymour is more than half The Wrestler star's age, but he was knocked down twice in the second round of the fight and the referee stopped the match before the bell.
Critics and boxing writers immediately claimed the fight was "rigged" but Seymour insists 62-year-old Rourke was a worthy opponent and he wasn't prepared for the match.
Returning to Los Angeles after the fight, he tells Tmz.com, "The fight wasn't thrown. I only had one month to train."
