Miley Cyrus accidentally dropped an F-bomb live on NBC’s the ‘Today Show’ on Friday, shocking early morning viewers. The singer was all mic-ed up for her upcoming segment, but as the show went to a break she let out a four-letter expletive after thinking her microphone was switched off.

As they went to commercials viewers saw Miley making funny faces and saying: “I don’t know what to do with my face right now! What should I do with this? I don’t know. There’s no sound, so it doesn’t matter what I’m saying, right? F**k.”

But there was sound and Miley’s bad language was broadcast live to millions of viewers all over America. During the interview that followed, the singer discussed her decision to never appear on a red carpet again. “It's really not about the colour of the carpet, it's more about the way that, especially women, we get yelled at, to blow them [the photographers] a kiss," she said.

"I don’t feel like blowing you a kiss. I don't really want people to talk about what I'm wearing. That's usually why I don't wear too much. But they make me wear clothes on 'The Voice' and on the 'Today' show, so this is what I chose.”
