Is The Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry Twitter Feud For Real?

Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry have known each other for years. The pair have been photographed together at events since long before Miley was the peroxide party girl that she is today. That’s why we don’t know whether to take their brewing Twitter feud with a pinch of salt or if these two really are headed for a serious fall out. It all started at Miley’s recent L.A. performance when she dived in to give Perry a full on smooch, and we’re guessing, since this is Miley we’re talking about, that she meant it to be tongues and all!  Katy wasn’t at all impressed or interested and immediately yanked her head away from Cyrus before laughing off Miley’s intrusive move.

It’s not the first time that Miley has expressed romantic intentions towards Perry, once admitting on Twitter: “Had dreams about @katyperry all night. dayummm that was a good time! #cherrychapstick need to c u more often sloot! Xxxxx”. Perhaps Miley was just taking the first opportunity she saw to make her dream a reality! Who cares if thousands of people were watching?

Appearing on Australian talk show Sunrise, Katy explained about her and Miley’s recent encounter: “I just walked up to her to give her like a friendly girly kiss, you know, as girls do. And then she like tried to move her head and go deeper and I pulled away”. Awkward! But Katy didn’t stop there, the I Kissed A Girl singer also added “God knows where that tongue has been. We don’t know! That tongue is so infamous!”.

Miley was clearly unimpressed by Katy’s accusations that her tongue goes a roving and took to Twitter to tell Katy “Girl if ur worried abt where tongues have been good thing ur ex boo is ur EX BOO cause we ALL know where THAT (tongue smiley) been”. Ooooh, no she di’unt! It does sound a little mean of Miley to reference Katy’s recent breakup from on-off boyfriend of a year and a half, John Mayer like this. If Katy is still feeling upset about the split then Miley is definitely being spiteful, although you never know whether the pair had discussed Mayer in private and made a joke about his philandering ways which Cyrus was just playing on.

Katy didn’t take long to respond to Miley, tweeting back “Oooo gurrl I’m gonna give you the BIGGEST spanking when I see you in the UK bb!”. This does all sound a little jokey to us, especially in the grand scheme of things when some celebs have really been at each other’s throats on Twitter.
