Miley Cyrus says money doesn't make her happy.

The 'Wrecking Ball' hitmaker may have a number of hit singles to her name but she insists she isn't worried about raking in the profits.

She told Marie Claire magazine: ''People in this industry think, I just gotta keep getting more money, and I'm like, What are you getting more money for? You probably couldn't even spend it all in this lifetime. People get more famous, so that they can make their brand more famous, so that they can sell more s**t, so that they can make more money. It's a never-ending cycle.

''Getting more money, having more hits, being the lead in the movie - those things might stimulate you, but they don't make you happy. I've experienced it all already, and I'm telling you firsthand, it doesn't.''

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old star's producer Mike WiLL Made It previously teased Miley's new music would be ''crazy''.

He said: ''We've got like eight or ten songs recorded, so we're just gonna pick the best songs to go on the album. It should be interesting though. Her whole sound is switching up, you know what I'm saying? It's crazy.''
