Miley Cyrus has a fairly polite (but gramatically challenged) stalker. Instead of hiding in her dressing room wearing a ghostface mask and brandishing duct tape, he simply entered her dressing room and left a note. The note wasn’t even that peculiar, in the grand scheme of celebrity stalkers.

Tucker Salvesen wrote to Miley: “I snuck back here I need to meet you. You have helped me so much your music has given me all the answers I was looking for when my heart got broke...we went through the same thing @ the same time...Miley I love you!!! Please let me meet you”. OK, not totally normal behaviour, but at least he said ‘please’. He’s also not been entirely stealthy about his impending plan to invade the Wrecking Ball singer’s dressing room, tweeting to her keyboardist “I’m probably gonna sneak backstage to see miley tomorrow...save me a trip to jail 1000 miles from home and help me out???”.

The keyboardist put it down to “#bangerz tour randomness”, although Tucker followed through without his help. 18 year old Tucker subsequently tweeted Miley asking her to look out for his note, so if there was any doubt about who had sneaked backstage, he cleared it right up for the authorities.

Miley isn’t the only superstar to deal with obsessive fans.  Justin Bieber’s rekindled love, Selena Gomez once had to get a restraining order taken out against a man who had informed his therapist about a desire to kill the Disney star. Yikes.

Ironically, Mark Zuckerberg also obtained a restraining order against a man...who he claimed was stalking him on Facebook. You invented Facebook, Mark, you do know that there’s a ‘Block’ button, right?

Jennifer Aniston had a lucky escape from 24 year old Jason Payton who had hidden out in a place that he thought the FRIENDS star often visited. Police found on him a roll of duct tape, sharp objects, a bag, and messages he had written about Jen. Pretty scary stuff!

Tennis player Anna Kournikova hasn’t escaped travelers on the stalker train, hers was a middle-aged homeless man who swam nude across Biscayne Bay in Florida so that he could reunited with his love, who has a $5,000,000 home there. The man in question was detained in a psychiatric unit and ordered to stay at least 1,000 feet away from Kournikova in the future.

Does it comes with the territory of being famous that you’ll eventually attract the attention of a less than stable fan? Fortunately Miley’s stalker has been rather polite and very public about the whole thing. We think that he deserves an audience with Miley.  Go on, love, give him a chance!
