Police in Los Angeles have begun an investigation into an altercation involving Miley Cyrus at a Hollywood nightclub over the weekend. As we previously reported, one partygoer had accused the former Disney star of striking him, and it seems as though police have decided to look into the matter.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Cyrus was partying at celebrity haunt Beacher’s Madhouse at the Roosevelt Hotel in the early hours of Sunday morning (September 9, 2012) with her fiance Liam Hemsworth. It was there that an argument broke out between the couple and an unnamed man. The partygoer subsequently filed a police report claiming the dispute turned physical, with Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department confirming that cops are now looking into the claim. She told the New York Daily News, “Miley, her boyfriend and the victim were talking and an argument ensued. Miley pushed the victim and struck the victim in the face. There were no visible injuries and no arrests made. The victim came to the station (to file the report). It’s an on-going investigation”. A representative for the singer has vehemently denied the claims, telling TMZ.com that the man’s story is “completely false and erroneous”.
The controversy comes just days after a man was arrested whilst trespassing in Miley Cyrus’ garden in Los Angeles. He initially attempted to evade arrest by jumping over a perimeter fence.
