Set in the 1960's whilst her husband, Prince Rainier III of Monaco, faced invasion by the French over tax disputes, the princess was also facing one of the most turbulent times of her life. Grace of Monaco was directed by Oscar winner Olivier Dahan (La Vie En Rose) and written by relative newcomer Arash Amel.

Benjamin Ford is an American war veteran living in a remote area of the Appalachian Mountains in an attempt to get away from his painful recollections from the Bosnian War. Any prospect of social interaction and he can't help but make excuses, owing to his desperate need for solitude. Nonetheless, when he offers a lift to a hitchhiking European tourist named Emil Kovac, he finds himself pleased with the company and the pair set out to go hunting together. However, Kovac turns out to be more than just a tourist when he attempts to shoot Ford with an arrow. He is a former Serbian soldier from the Bosnian War who has tracked Ford down in a bid to even a score between them and the two of them become enveloped in a ruthless chase to the death.

In his early teens, the immature and irresponsible Donny Berger struck up a brief romance with his school teacher resulting in her pregnancy. When she is jailed for having a sexual relationship with a minor, Donny is forced to raise the child (who he names Han Solo) until Hans' eighteenth birthday. Twelve years later, Donny owes $43,000 to the IRS which he must pay to avoid three years in jail. He recognises Han Solo in a magazine under the new name of Todd Peterson and reads that he is the one of the youngest hedge fund managers in the financial industry and is engaged to be married. Todd's world is turned upside down when his father (who he had attempted to erase from his life completely) turns up the day before his wedding wanting to spend quality time with his son, while really seeking help with his debt problem. The reunion forces Donny to accept the consequences of his terrible parenting.
