Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds Push The Sky Away

Albums of Note... Heaped with praise and riding high in the UK charts, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ 15th studio album, Push the Sky Away is not only an artistic triumph but a commercial one, too. Cave’s songwriting style has mutated significantly since his early days as frontman and resident wildcard of The Birthday Party; he now resembles a particularly well-dressed bar fly and his songs are peppered with his quintessentially erudite turn of phrase.

For our reviewer, Push the Sky Away demonstrates Cave and his cohorts at their finest:“Knowing when to stop and what to leave out, when adding more will lessen the quality and having the strength of character to just cut away the surplus is most definitely driven by the ever uncompromising Cave and here it has clearly paid dividends… Push The Sky Away' has a delicacy and tenderness woven through it like a fine silken tapestry of beguiling beauty but it can still be unflinching and brutal.”

Mindy McCready's Ex Dean Cain "Not Surprised" By Her Apparent Suicide

Dean Cain Mindy McCready

Dean Cain, aka Superman in Lois & Clark, The New Adventures of Superman, has spoken to People magazine about the death of his ex-fiancee, country singer Mindy McCready.

McCready was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head, just weeks after her partner, David Wilson was also found dead under suspicious circumstances. While the events of the past few weeks are undoubtedly tragic, for Dean Cain they're unsurprising, who painted a picture of her that showed her to be her own worst enemy. Indeed, he admitted "I can't paint too pretty a picture."

"She would start arguments, start drama. Things weren't allowed to be good," he continued. "She was never abusive or addictive with me, but red flags were everywhere. I saw all the bad signs and told her to get out. Everything she did was a manipulation of sorts. She would just get combative."

Four Suicide Attempts In Seven Years Before Mindy McCready Took Her Own Life

Mindy McCready

Mindy McCready’s former fiancé Billy McKnight has said that he is not surprised that the troubled country star took her own life, stating that he “knew it was in her.” She had reportedly attempted suicide four times before, in the space of seven years, according to a report from the Daily Mail. In an interview with the National Enquirer, McKnight expressed concern that she would have also killed their two children, had she had custody of them at the time that she shot herself.

McCready took her own life on the porch of her home in Arkansas, just weeks after her boyfriend David Wilson had also killed himself there. She shot his dog dead before turning the gun on herself. The 37 year old reportedly first attempted suicide back in 2005, when she overdosed on alcohol and pills, just a few months after McKnight had assaulted her, landing her in hospital. When she was back together with him, she then tried to take her life again and was found unconscious in a hotel lobby. A third suicide attempt was made in 2008, when she slit her wrists at her Nashville home and then another came in 2010, after she had taken an overdose. However, authorities were unclear over whether that incident was intentional or not.

Meanwhile, the founder of Vivid Entertainment has revealed that a se tape featuring Mindy McCready will not be distributed. The tape, entitled Baseball Mistress, features McCready and a former boyfriend, though it is unclear when it was filmed.

No Note: Mindy McCready Left No Explanation For Suicide

Mindy McCready

Mindy McCready did not leave a suicide note, when she killed herself on Sunday (February 17, 2013), E! Online have reported. Circumstances surrounding the death are still coming to light and Sheriff Marty Moss of Cleburne County told E! News that the troubled country singer did not leave a note and added that the investigation was still ongoing. Her death, however, is being treated as suicide. the Arkansas Crime Lab confirmed that McCready died from a single gun shot wound to the head.

Mindy McCready killed herself on the porch of her home, the same place that her boyfriend David Wilson had also been found dead some weeks earlier. McCready had shot his dog before killing herself. Both the dead dog and the deceased singer were discovered next to each other at the front of the house where she lived in Heber Springs, Arkansas. Wilson’s death was presumed to have been a suicide but Moss was unable to comment on the situation.

McCready claimed not to know how Wilson had died, but stated in an interview that she had not been involved in his death. She was not thought to have been a suspect in his death, either. Shortly before her own death, Mindy had been admitted to an inpatient facility, with her two sons being taken into care, where they now remain.

Mindy McCready's Final Song A Suicide Prevention Message For Boyfriend David Wilson

Mindy McCready

The last song written by the late country star Mindy McCready, ‘I’ll See You Yesterday’, was a suicide prevention message that was intended as a dedication to her also recently deceased boyfriend David Wilson, it’s been revealed. Tragically of course the message turned out to be a message that even she herself couldn’t answer to, with McCready found dead from a suspected suicide just weeks after Wilson had taken his life.

The song was going to be used by Suicideispreventable.org on their site, with images on the video showing the house that Wilson killed himself in last month. Ultimately, of course, it was also the house that McCready killed herself in too. "She told me it was beautiful, it made her cry and was exactly what she wanted," says Dan "Danno" Hanks, a private investigator friend who produced the video. "I asked her if I could post it and Mindy's answer was, 'You'll know when it's right.' In hindsight, she was having me produce her suicide video."

McCready Shot Dog Belonging To Dead Boyfriend Before Turning Gun On Herself

Mindy McCready

Mindy McCready shot the dog that had belonged to her boyfriend David Wilson, before taking her own life, Associated Press have reported. The troubled country singer apparently took her own life, on the porch of her home, just weeks after her boyfriend, Wilson, had died in the same place.

The circumstances surrounding David Wilson’s death were not 100% clear. McCready claimed not to know how Wilson had died but denied having had any involvement in it. Shortly before her death, McCready had been taken to an inpatient facility and her two sons were taken into care. On the night that she killed herself, she first shot Wilson’s pet dog, which was discovered dead next to her own body, at her home in Heber Springs, after neighbours reported hearing gunshots.

Although an official verdict on her death has not been announced, Mindy’s death, aged just 37, is being treated as suicide. Cleburne County Sheriff Marty Moss said on Monday that he expects the official cause of death to be announced very soon and added that all factors point to it having been suicide. An official announcement regarding Wilson’s death is also due to be made; it is currently being investigated as a suicide.

Mindy McCready's Final Taped Conversation, "David Tried To Tell Me Something"

Mindy McCready

In Mindy McCready's final taped conversation before her death, the country singer told private investigator Danno Hanks that her late boyfriend David Wilson tried to tell her something as he lay dying from a gunshot wound just over a month ago. McCready - who was also found dead this week - knew she was being recorded and recounted the experience of finding Mr Wilson in her Heber Springs home.

"He was lying on the ground with his brains all over the floor," McCready told Danno "And then I held him and I kissed him and I told him I forgave him. And I said, 'David, none of this means anything. You didn't have to do this. Please, don't die. Please. We love you so much. Please don't die.'" Though it was reported the gunshot wound that killed Wilson was self-inflicted, local and state police are still trying to piece together what happened before they put the case to bed - something confused by McCready's own alleged suicide. During the conversation, the country star said Wilson "didn't die for two hours," adding, "But he was trying to tell me something. He was grabbing me and trying to talk. Of course he couldn't talk at that point, half of his brain was on the floor."

McCready's sons, 6-year-old Zander and 9-month old Zayne, were placed in foster care when she entered a mental health facility under a court order this month. On February 17, 2013, Mindy was found dead at the same Heber Springs residence that boyfriend David spent his final moments. She too died of a gunshot wound.

Mindy McCready Found Dead After Apparent Suicide

Mindy McCready

The Country & Western singer, Mindy McCready, has been found dead at her home in Arkansas with a fatal gunshot, The Guardian reports. A police news release said she was pronounced dead at the scene, "from what appears to be a single self-inflicted gunshot wound".

McCready, who died at 37, couldn’t replicate the success she stumbled upon in 1996 when her album Ten Thousand Angels found its market. Guys Do It All the Time – the most famous track from the album – topped the U.S country charts, but despite another four albums over the following 14 years, that was as good as it got, musically.

Her struggle with drugs and alcohol was apparent and well documented. In May 2010, she was hospitalized briefly after police responded to an overdose call at a home. This followed a stint on "Celebrity Rehab With Dr. Drew," where she declared herself clean from drugs. She is now the 5th person to die after appearing on that show. Reports suggest she shot the dog owned by her late boyfriend, David Wilson, before she shot herself. Wilson died last month under similar circumstances.

Carrie Underwood And Jason Aldean Lead Tributes To The Late Mindy McCready

Mindy McCready Jason Aldean Carrie Underwood Leann Rimes

Tributes have poured in from the world of country music after the shocking news emerged that troubled country star Mindy McCready allegedly took her own life in her home yesterday (February 17, 2013). Sadly McCready never fully capitalized on her twice platinum selling debut album Ten Thousand Angels, released in 1996 when she was just 20, and in an all-too-familiar tragic tale, her life was eventually over taken by legal issues and substance problems.

Nevertheless her music, including five studio albums, inspired many who’ve gone on to make waves in the genre, and that was replicated in the messages that came out on Twitter in wake of the news of her death. “Just heard about Mindy McCready. My thoughts and prayers are with her 2 boys and her family” wrote the multiple award-winning Jason Aldean, whilst American Idol alumni Carried Underwood added “I grew up listening to Mindy McCready...so sad for her family tonight. Many prayers are going out to them...”

Other who came forward in homage to the late singer included Leann Rimes, who wrote “My heart goes out to Mindy McCready's family. I knew her well. It's a horribly [sic] tragedy. May peace be with her son's.” Those who were big at the time of her own height of fame chipped in too, with Wynonna Judd writing “Oh my! Mindy. Dear sweet girl. This is so sad. It just breaks my heart what addiction continues to take from this life.” McCready was 37 years old at the time of her death; just last month her boyfriend had died of a suspected suicide.
