The cast sees a host of big names combine, with Jude Law and Miranda Hart joined by ‘Bridesmaids’ star Melissa McCarthy and perennial hard-man actor Jason Statham. The ‘Bridesmaids’ link doesn’t stop there, as director Feig is involved.

"I've been a fan of Miranda's for years and am so excited to bring her to the big screen," said Feig, who also worked with McCarthy in last year's hit buddy comedy The Heat, which also starred Sandra Bullock. "I'm also hoping I'll finally get back that lawnmower I loaned her last summer." (Mirror)

Speaking of her new role, Miranda said: "I am beyond excited to work with Paul who I am a huge fan of and it will be nothing less than a hoot to work with Melissa McCarthy. By the end of the film I plan to have married Jude Law and have Melissa as our adopted daughter."

Hart has become a British comedy favourite since her performances in ‘Miranda’, not to mention the multiple appearances on panel shows. Her role in ‘Call The Midwife’ saw her tackle her first real serious role, buther upcoming movie will be her first on the big screen.

Recently, the star revealed how her busy schedule stopped her from starting a meaningful relationship.

“The idea of a husband is quite a romantic notion to me, probably because I’ve never been married,” she says.

“Married life is good and so is motherhood. It’s fun being a wife, I’ve never really been one before on TV and it’s quite fun having that family unit. I don’t feel broody doing a scene – you’re busy thinking about the technical side of it. But anything with love in it, you go a bit schmaltzy don’t you?”
