Miranda Kerr's family may be happy revealing all on Australian television but the supermodel seems to be remaining fairly upbeat.

Miranda Kerr
Miranda Kerr is allegedly estranged from her Australian family.

Kerr's family discussed their relationship with the 30-year-old on a recent documentary aired on ABC1, as the Daily Mail reports. The documentary, called Family Confidential, featured candid interviews with Kerr's parents and aired in Australia on Tuesday 11th February. Her parents, Therese and John, revealed they have not seen their daughter in over a year and haven't made contact in a number of months.

However, Kerr seems to be continuing as normal and even posted a number of Instagram photos to show the world her parents may be angered but she certainly is not.

Kerr seemed to have spent Valentine's Day enjoying the company of her son Flynn, aged 3. Kerr's parents criticised their daughter alleging Kerr is denying them the opportunity to know their grandchild and implied she had deserted them for a life in the US. The distance between them seemed to be most prominent in their complaints.

It was not only Kerr's parents who weighed in but her grandmother, Ann, too. Of Flynn, she said "I miss the baby and I think he's missing out on family, that closeness that we have always had." She added New York is "nothing like Australia, nothing, and I think hopefully Flynn might end up here. We just keep our fingers crossed."

Kerr spent Valentine's Day with her son, Flynn:

However, other sources speaking to the British paper have defended Kerr and said she is "totally committed to her family and in regular contact." As evidence, the source claimed Kerr had flown members of her family out to New York so they could spend Christmas together. The source continued by alleging Kerr actually employs a number of her relatives, including her father. The source concluded by saying Kerr "does a remarkable job balancing an incredibly successful career with being a loving and dedicated mother."

Kerr has certainly had a difficult year and been constantly under the scrutiny of the media. She separated from her husband of three years, Orlando Bloom, in October 2013. Although the two have remained on good terms - they have been spotted taking Flynn on a number of family outings - whether or not Kerr is truly ambivalent to her family's allegations remains to be seen.
