32 year old Lambert was propositioned by a 6 year old fan before Saturday's New Jersey gig at a fan Q&A.
Miranda Lambert has announced that she’s gotten engaged again – kind of…
The Grammy Award-winning singer, who was married to fellow country music star Blake Shelton until last year, announced during her New Jersey gig this weekend that an adorable six year old fan named Sebastian had popped the question to her – and that she’d agreed, in a few decades’ time!

The country star has moved on following her divorce from Blake Shelton last year.
While Blake Shelton hasn't been shy about showing off his relationship with Gwen Stefani, his ex wife Miranda Lambert has been keeping her love life more on the down-low since their divorce. But the country singer made it clear who her new man was on Friday night, by wearing his name on her t-shirt during a concert in California.
He's vying against the likes of Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town.
Eric Church has become the top contender at the upcoming 51st annual Academy of Country Music Awards having been nominated in five categories. He faces competition with the likes of Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town, who both have four nominations each.
Keith Urban and Eric Church teamed up for 'Raise 'Em Up'
Church is quite the country veteran by now, and while the chart position for his latest album 'Mr. Misunderstood' didn't quite match that of his previous two albums, it's still up for Album of the Year, with the title track up for Video of the Year. He'll be vying for the Entertainer and Male Vocalist slots too, while his duet with Keith Urban 'Raise 'Em Up' has been named in the Vocal Events.

Though Shelton seems to have been very publicly trying to 'win the break-up', Lambert's recovery has been more private and is going fine, according to a close source.
Though she’s been recovering a lot more privately from her divorce than her ex-husband Blake Shelton has, Miranda Lambert has apparently now put the fallout from her marriage break-up behind her and is “really enjoying” life.
An unnamed close to the 32 year old country music star told Us Weekly on Wednesday (December 2nd) that “she has started going on a few dates.”
Lambert and Shelton, 39, announced their divorce after four years of marriage in July this year. While Shelton has been dating his colleague on ‘The Voice’, Gwen Stefani, for just over a month, flaunting their romance in front of the cameras, Lambert has kept details of her private life closer.

Country music's biggest stars came out for the award ceremony
The biggest stars in country music gathered together for the Country Music Association Awards on Wednesday night. One of the most dazzling attendees was country star and mum-to-be Carrie Underwood who hosted the event alongside Brad Paisley.
Carrie Underwood dazzled as the host of the Country Music Association Awards
Carrie, 31, wowed in a stunning champagne dress with glittering embellishment, fabulous smoky eyeshadow and beautifully styled loose curls. However, she wasn’t the only super country star who also graced the event.
Swift, who was absent from this year's Country Music Association Awards, was the target of a number of jokes by the hosts Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood.

If her new album didn't do it, Miranda Lambert's CMT performance definitely cemented her place as the queen of country.
If last year was the year of Taylor Swift, then we’re starting to think 2014 belongs to power couples like Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton. That’s what the CMT awards are seem to be trying to convince us, at least. Not only did Miranda perform at the CMT stage on Wednesday, she and her husband also cleaned out in various categories, including their matching awards for Male and Female Video of the Year. Shelton won for Doin’ What She Likes and Lambert scored with Automatic.

How do you make an emergency landing fun? Play around in shiny, expensive equipment.
Miranda Lambert just released her new album Platinum on Tuesday, making this the busiest week of her year and probably the worst time for unforeseen circumstances. Unfortunately, on the same day, Lambert’s private plane had to make an emergency landing. The country superstar and her team were flying the familiar course from New York to Nashville, when the plane lost pressure and had to land in Clarksburg, West Virginia. The passengers then had to spend three hours on the ground, before continuing sounthward, according to CBS news.
Lambert has a lot on her plate this week, not counting emergency landings.

The best album of the year? The reviewers think so.
Miranda Lambert naming her new album Platinum might turn out to be a self fulfilling prophesy. Not only is the record, which came out on Tuesday, already on top of the iTunes sales chart, the critics are in love as well. Lambert’s strength has always been in her clever lyrics, her fiery sound and, well, her sass. Fans will be happy to hear that, despite her being a married woman now, the sass is still strong with this one.
The new record shows a maturity that really suits Lambert, say reviewers.
Says Jamieson Cox of TIME Magazine: “Platinum doesn’t reinvent the wheel in any sense, but it doubles down on the qualities that have helped Lambert become one of country’s most reliable stars: broad, plain-spoken feminism, rousing choruses that split the difference between archetypal country and contemporary pop-rock, and frank, funny, fully realized depictions of the protagonist at the heart of these songs.

The 30 year-old country music star features on the front cover of Rolling Stone as part of the magazine's first Country Issue.
No matter the genre, every singer can appreciate great talent, and that is exactly why Miranda Lambert is such a big fan of Beyoncé.
The 30 year-old country singer spoke about her admiration for the pop star to Rolling Stone, in which she covers the June 19th issue.
"She's a girl from Houston, and she worked her butt off to get where she is," Lambert said to the magazine. "She's not just being carted around on her chariot; she's driving it."
The 30 year-old singer denies nearly all tabloid rumors about herself and husband Blake Shelton being at odds: I'm happy. You'll have to ask Blake how he feels."
Miranda Lambert's marriage to fellow country singer Blake Shelton isn't on the rocks.
The 30 year-old is currently promoting her newest album 'Platinum', which is being released on Tuesday (June 3rd), and found this as an opportunity to squash any false tabloid rumors.
Lambert and Shelton celebrated their third wedding anniversary last month, and in an interview with USA Today, she spoke very candidly about maintaining a relationship in the public eye.
There's no marriage trouble and no alien babies, either. Or so she says.
Miranda Lambert has a new album to promote. Platinum comes out on Tuesday, so the country singer is currently doing the obligatory press rounds and digging deep into her personal life in the process. In one interview, Lambert tells USA Today all about her marriage to Blake Shelton and how the couple deal with life in the spotlight.
"Even if it's people you know, sometimes you need to cement it," Lambert says. "It's just like, 'No one come over; we're having us-time for a second.' We haven't seen each other, and we need to be like, 'Hey, how was the last five days?' It just gets too crowded sometimes."
Lambert collaborated with Carrie Underwood on one song off Platinum.
The country star is frank in her new interview.
Miranda Lambert has opened up on her life lately in an interview with Billboard magazine. The 30 year-old country singer, who rose to fame as a finalist in the 2003 series of Nashville Star, is married to fellow country musician and The Voice coach Blake Shelton. Between them they've sold 12.5 million albums but choose to retreat from the limelight with their dogs and horses in Tishomingo, a small town that is two hours away from Oklahoma City and Dallas.
Miranda Lambert Is Open On The Subject Of The Media In A New Interview.
Miranda may sing about burning men's houses down and welcoming an abusive partner home with a shotgun but the singer reveals that it's the false tabloid reports that she's sensitive to. "I think I've had like five sets of twins in the last two years, and we've been divorced four times, and one of us had a $100 million divorce. We both agreed, 'If one of us has $100 million, one of us is killing the other.' It's craziness," she said.
The American Country Music (ACM) Awards took place on Sunday (6th April) in Las Vegas. Amongst the winners were Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves and George Strait. Keith Urban also won two awards for his collaborative efforts with Lambert and Tim McGraw.
The American Country Music Awards were held on Sunday in Las Vegas at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. Miranda Lambert and Keith Urban won the most awards, two and three respectively, whilst nominees and fan favourites Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan and Blake Shelton lost out on numerous awards each.
Miranda Lambert juggled her three awards whilst posing for pictures at the ACM.
Lambert was struggling to hold her awards at the American Country Music Awards on Sunday (6th April). The singer won three of the large trophies and posed somewhat awkwardly but happily in the press room. The 30-year-old took home the most awards after she won Female Vocalist of the Year, Single Record of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year alongside Keith Urban. Urban was a secretive runner up with two awards as, not only did he collaborate with Lambert for Vocal event, but he also featured (alongside Taylor Swift) in Tim Mcgraw's 'Highway Don't Care' which won Video of the Year.
This year's ACM awards featured a number of familiar faces, as well as some unexpected controversy.
Miranda Lambert is definitely the country music industry’s darling at the moment and Sunday night’s ACM music awards helped to cement her status. Lambert took home three of the biggest awards in the genre, including her fifth title for Female Vocalist of the Year – a record win for the songstress. In this category, she topped the likes of Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Kacey Musgraves and Sheryl Crow.

Garth Brooks, Trisha Yearwood, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and even Megadeth made it out to Nashville for the tribute concert
The great George Jones was honoured by some of the biggest names in country and western music this week, as the stars came out in force to the George Jones Tribute Concert at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Friday, 22 November. The widely acclaimed country star country, who sadly passed away earlier this year on 23 April, was honoured for four hours straight by some huge names performing Jones' greatest hits.
George Jones passed away earlier this year
The evening began (via Billboard) with the sole piece of stock footage featuring Jones, the video for his sigle 'No Show Jones,' yet despite his absence from the jumbo screens on stage, his memory never left the arena during the event billed as 'The Final No Show.'
Blake Shelton was the big winner of the night, but veteran George Strait took home the top honour
The Country Music Association Awards lit up the Nashville nighttime on Wednesday, 6 November, as 'Country Music's Biggest Night' went off with a bang at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. Aired live on ABC last night, the hosts for the evening were once again the ever-reliable Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley, who oversaw some memorable moments over the course of the night.
Blake Shelton performs at the CMA Music Festival
Leading the nominations pack for the 47th annual awards was rising star Kacey Musgraves, who led with six nominations in total. Right behind, with five nominations, was Miranda Lambert, but it was her husband Blake Shelton who finished the night as the biggest winner, taking home two gongs during the ceremony. Officially, it was Taylor Swift who went home with the most awards, although her wins for the Music Event of the Year (shared with Tim Mcgraw and Keith Urban) and the sought-after Pinnacle Award had already being revealed prior to the awards show. She also won (again, sharing with McGraw and Urban) for Music Video of the Year for 'Highway Don't Care.'
The nominees for this year's CMA Awards have been announced and it's safe to say the list is packed with talent.
The CMA nominations have been announced, y’all, and this year everyone’s favorite country girl Taylor Swift appears to have some competition, in the face of debutante Kacey Musgraves. Both Swift and Musgraves received six nods for the country awards, including categories, which have been almost reserved for Taylor for the past couple of years – Album of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.
Taylor might have some tough competition in the face of newcommer Kacey Musgraves.
The other favorite to win some of those… pointy… statuettes this year is Miranda Lambert, whose work has been nominated in both solo and group categories (with Pistol Annies) and whose special brand of sass has been making waves this year. Lambert’s husband, Blake Shelton is also up for five categories, including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year. No surprises there, but with Swift, Musgraves and Carrie Underwood all competing in the Album category, he’ll have a tough time beating the odds. The same goes for the Entertainer category, where Shelton is once again up against that powerhouse of a performer Swift, as well as Jason Aldean, George Strait and Luke Bryant – all huge names in country at the moment.
Miranda was 'drinking for two' at last night's gala with Blake away in Los Angeles on The Voice duties
On Wednesday night (June 5) the stars of country music were out in force for the annual CMT Music Awards were held in Nashville, Tennessee, but one famous country face wasn't on show: Blake Shelton. With the singer busy on touring duties, it was up to his proud wife Miranda Lambert to act on his behalf during the nights proceedings.
Lambert was presenting the award for Male Video of the Year for when she read out her husbands name (convenient much), with his single 'Sure Be Cool If You Did' taking away the prize on the night. She explained that the Voice judge had "tried hard to get here," but unfortunately couldn't bend his schedule in such a way that he could get to the awards show from Los Angeles in time. Taking on the responsibilities for herself and her husband on the night, Lambert ended her speech by gleefully announcing, "Honey, I'm drinkin' for two tonight!"
Lambert had plenty of reason to drink the night away too, picking up two gongs on the night herself. She won the Performance of the Year award for her song 'Over You,' thanking Shelton, a co-writer of the song, in her speech, before climbing to the stage again to pick up the female equivalent of the award her husband had won: Video of the Year for 'Mama's Broken Heart,' a song she had performed live earlier in the awards gala.
It might not be the most professional thing to do, but it was certainly endearing.
We all know that celebrities tend to get a bit emotional at times of great struggle, but Miranda Lambert reached a new level at the Oklahoma benefit for those who lost lives and property in the May 20th tornado. While performing her song “The House That Built Me,” live from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, the singer was constantly choking back tears, Access Hollywood reports. After singing the line: “Mama cut out pictures of houses…” referring to a family planning their defame home and eventually building it, the star reportedly got so emotional, that she had to take a break from singing and hand it over to the crowd for a little audience participation.
Lambert handed over the verse to the concert attendees to finish, while she regained her composure. Eventually she did finish the performance, but it was obviously a struggle. At the end, she even felt the need to apologise, saying at the end of her performance: “Sorry” to the crowd and adding, “I love you Oklahoma.”
Miranda was joined for the benefit by a number of other performers, including her husband, Blake Shelton, as well as other musical celebrities like Reba McEntire, Ryan Tedder, Darius Rucker, Usher, Rascal Flatts and Luke Bryan. Vince Gill, who hails from Oklahoma, dedicated his moving performance of “Threaten Me with Heaven” to “the 24 people that didn’t make it,” he said on stage on Wednesday night.
Blake Shelton is rounding up artists for speedy relief gig for the tornado victims of his birth state.
Blake Shelton has announced that he is planning a benefit concert as part of the relief effort for the violent tornado that occurred in his home state of Oklahoma killing 24 people.
The country star announced on 'The Voice' on Tuesday night (May 21st 2013) that he has teamed up with TV network NBC to organise a concert to raise funds for those who have lost their homes and families to the disastrous cyclone that took place in Moore, Oklahoma on Monday (May 20th). 'We'll know more about it in the next 24 hours', he told Billboard. 'I'm hoping it will raise a lot of money. Obviously it will be televised and will happen really quickly.' He also insisted that he can 'call in some really big favours' for the show and, according to Fox News, he already has a date and a venue fixed.
Also on the singing show, he performed a song with his wife Miranda Lambert while appealing to viewers to donate whatever they can to the Red Cross, to get help to the victims of the appalling catastrophe as soon as possible with numerous people now homeless. With this being the second major natural disaster to hit the States after Hurricane Sandy, there's no doubt that Blake will have dozens of musicians eager to help.
New album Annie Up out this week
Pistol Annies may make country music, a genre steeped in the heritage of America itself, but they’ve been promoting their new album in a very 21st century way, with the group revealing to Mashable the extent of a special four-week marketing campaign that saw them tackle various social networks and other platforms.
The group set up their album – out this week – by pushing The Great Annies Adventure, which saw fans try and solve puzzles both online and offline in a trail that ultimately led to prizes and tickets for a secret show. Clues were left all over the internet, including on Facebook, Foursquare, Instagram, Path, Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter and Vine while the narrative for them was based around a comic book designed by the group. "I don't think any of us have ever had this much fun promoting an album," group member Miranda Lambert told Mashable. "Watching them dissect clues, chat online about where we're taking them next, and race to each location is beyond cool."
"The adventure quest we've been on with the fans has been incredible," Lambert said. "Even if no one was following along I think we'd still have a great time doing it, so to see how huge the response has been is amazing." It’ll be interested to see if the campaign has the desired effect on Annie Up in the forthcoming Billboard chart.

Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have a joke on Twitter about tabloid rumors
Miranda Lambert has laughed off the Blake Shelton rumors that have suggested the couple have been hit by a cheating scandal. In true Blake / Shelton style, they have laughed off the rumors in a comic way, tweeting each other so that all of their followers can see that they’re not bothered by the gossip.
Joking about the recent tabloid scandal that suggests Shelton has had an affair with a 23 year old artist, Blake sent a tweet to Miranda, saying “Hey @mirandalambert... I just read in a tabloid that our marriage is falling apart!!! FOCK!!!” to which Miranda replied “Oh no! Can't wait to read if we make it or not.” Blake quoted her tweet for his own followers to see and added “Ba! Ha! Ha! You see y'all! I'm making her funnier!”
This isn’t the first time that Blake and Miranda have been forced to deny rumors being spread about them in the press, either. Last November, word got out that the couple were expecting a baby, when they actually weren’t and they were forced to take to Twitter to defend themselves then, as well, with Miranda joking “Wow! I just read the headline! 'We are having a baby' yay! Blake Shelton, we're getting a new puppy?” If they’re willing to joke about something as serious as the breakdown of their marriage, on a social media site, can we safely assume that there’s no substance to those Blake Shelton rumors?
Ashley Monroe releases her solo album 'Like A Rose' this week.
Ashley Monroe is finally here with her new album 'Like A Rose' which marks a milestone in the country singer's music career.
The Pistol Annies singer releases her new solo album 'Like A Rose' today (March 5th 2013) and told The Associated Press that, 'I'm just now learning that there is a master plan'. 'There's been many times where I've looked up at the sky and thought, 'Really? What am I doing? What am I supposed to be doing?' But now I'm seeing all the good and the bad that I've lived and experienced just kind of come together', she added. Her previous solo effort, album 'Satisfied' flopped badly though her other work with bandmate Miranda Lambert in Pistol Annies has been moderately successful since they formed in 2011 with their debut album 'Hell on Heels' topping the US Country chart.
The Pistol Annies are set to release their second album in the Spring of 2013, while Monroe is set to tour with the band Train after dueting with singer Pat Monahan on 'Bruises'. 'It's crazy', Monroe said of her career achievments. 'It blows my mind. But it also makes me happy because it's bringing all these things together.'
The nominations for the ACM awards (American Country Music, for the uninitiated), were announced on Wednesday, and, as expected, Taylor Swift cleaned up. Everyone’s favorite broken-hearted girl picked up five nominations, including the coveted entertainer-of-the-year nod, the top honor in the award show. A win for Swift would make her the first solo female artist to ever win the award, but of course, she is up against some pretty tough competition with Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and the show’s co-hosts, Luke Brian and Blake Shelton also on the list.
Let’s not forget all of the other acts competing for awards, either. The overachiever this year has to be Eric Church, with his seven nominations. For those counting at home, that’s every category he’s eligible for, apart from Entertainer of the Year. Some other big winners (or potential ones, anyway) are Hunter Hayes with six nods and, of course, Miranda Lambert with five nominations. So it’s shaping up to be an interesting evening. With Hayes up for what could be his very first ACM win, and Miranda and Taylor both competing to be the first female entertainer of the year, there’s bound to be at least a little bit of tension in the air on the big night. Though we’re always keeping our fingers crossed for Taytay – don’t tell anyone.
The 48th annual Academy of Country Music Awards will air live April 7 (CBS, 8 p.m. ET/tape delay PT), from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. You can catch the full list of nominees on the official ACM website.
The 2012 CMT Country Music Awards took place on Monday (December 3, 2012) in Nashville but this year, the winners will be kept top secret until Saturday December 8, when the star-studded show will be broadcast at 10pm on CMT. The 90 minute special will be hosted by Rascal Flatts and Hayden Panettiere and will feature performances from some of country music’s biggest stars, as well as appearances from a number of A-list sports and entertainment stars.
Amongst those treading the boards for the illustrious awards show were Jason Aldean, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney and Sheryl Crow and also making an appearance on the night were the Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member Sammy Hagar, Metallica’s James Hetfield, the shock-rocker Kid Rock and Miranda Lambert. From the world of sport, the Atlanta Braves’ Chipper Jones put in an appearance, as did the Nashville Predators’ Mike Fisher.
This is the first year that CMT have kept the lid on the list of honorees. As a result, country music fans will have to wait until the weekend if they want a slice of the action, when the 90-minute special is aired. According to CMT’s press release, the show will be “the most exclusive gathering of country music superstars of the year and celebrates the class of 2012 with an incredible evening of wall-to-wall performances and special appearances from others in entertainment.”
Jason Aldean’s ‘Take A Little Ride’ has taking a pretty long ride – straight to the top of the country music charts.
The latest single from Aldean has ben at the top of the charts for three weeks now and is showing no signs of shifting just yet. According to tasteofcountry.com, the success of ‘Take A Little Ride’ is not just good news for Aldean, but also for the three writers involved in penning the chart-topping track: Rodney Clawson, Dylan Altman and Jim McCormick.
‘Take A Little Ride’ is the sixth in a string of Jason Aldean songs to top the country music charts; it certainly seems that he has the Midas touch when it comes to creating chart success for himself (with a little help from his record label of course… and the songwriters). Prior to the release of this current track, Aldean had found success with ‘My Kinda Party,’ ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay,’ ‘Dirt Road Anthem,’ ‘Tattoos on This Town’ and ‘Fly Over States.’ On October 16, 2012, Jason Aldean will be releasing his fifth studio album, Night Train, from which the current track is the debut single.
Rihanna is top of the table for the main category, as she wards off competition from Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Canadian rapper Drake for artist of the year. She’s also in line for female soul/R&B artist and best album, and will lock horns with Minaj for the female pop/rock artist category. Minaj could be recognized for her album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, in both the pop/rock and rap/hip hop categories this year, and she’s nominated for favorite rap artist, too. Minaj has been attracting extra attention recently; her very public feud with Mariah Carey on American Idol culminated in a strange gun threat, but most seem sure the ‘diva-off’ is being played up by Fox to boost the talent show’s viewership.
Elsewhere in the awards, teenage singer Bieber landed three nominations this year, tying with British boy band One Direction, Maroon 5, Drake and R&B star Usher. Adele and Taylor Swift – who dominated the awards last year - received one nomination apiece. Swift will fight for female country artist against Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert, while Adele was nominated in the favorite adult contemporary artist category alongside Kelly Clarkson and Train. The AMA’s - which will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year - are determined by fans through online voting, which starts on Tuesday. The ceremony and performance show will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on November 18.
