Miranda Lambert Is Doing Fine After Blake Shelton Divorce

Miranda Lambert Blake Shelton Gwen Stefani

Though she’s been recovering a lot more privately from her divorce than her ex-husband Blake Shelton has, Miranda Lambert has apparently now put the fallout from her marriage break-up behind her and is “really enjoying” life.

An unnamed close to the 32 year old country music star told Us Weekly on Wednesday (December 2nd) that “she has started going on a few dates.”

Lambert and Shelton, 39, announced their divorce after four years of marriage in July this year. While Shelton has been dating his colleague on ‘The Voice’, Gwen Stefani, for just over a month, flaunting their romance in front of the cameras, Lambert has kept details of her private life closer.

Miranda Lambert Addresses Weight Loss, Tabloid Lies And Being An Inspiration

Miranda Lambert Blake Shelton

The 30 year-old country singer, who rose to fame as a finalist in the 2003 series of Nashville Star, is married to fellow country musician and The Voice coach Blake Shelton. Miranda may sing about burning men's houses down and welcoming an abusive partner home with a shotgun but the singer reveals that it's the false tabloid reports that she's sensitive to. "I think I've had like five sets of twins in the last two years, and we've been divorced four times, and one of us had a $100 million divorce. We both agreed, 'If one of us has $100 million, one of us is killing the other.' It's craziness," she said.

Taylor Swift, Kacey Musgraves Dominate This Year's CMA Awards Nominees List

Taylor Swift Kacey Musgraves Miranda Lambert Blake Shelton Carrie Underwood Jason Aldean

The CMA nominations have been announced, y’all, and this year everyone’s favorite country girl Taylor Swift appears to have some competition, in the face of debutante Kacey Musgraves. Both Swift and Musgraves received six nods for the country awards, including categories, which have been almost reserved for Taylor for the past couple of years – Album of the Year and Female Vocalist of the Year.

Taylor might have some tough competition in the face of newcommer Kacey Musgraves.

The other favorite to win some of those… pointy… statuettes this year is Miranda Lambert, whose work has been nominated in both solo and group categories (with Pistol Annies) and whose special brand of sass has been making waves this year. Lambert’s husband, Blake Shelton is also up for five categories, including Entertainer of the Year and Album of the Year. No surprises there, but with Swift, Musgraves and Carrie Underwood all competing in the Album category, he’ll have a tough time beating the odds. The same goes for the Entertainer category, where Shelton is once again up against that powerhouse of a performer Swift, as well as Jason Aldean, George Strait and Luke Bryant – all huge names in country at the moment.

Blake Sheldon Wins At The CMT Awards, With Wife Miranda Lambert On Hand To Collect The Award On His Behalf

Blake Shelton Miranda Lambert

On Wednesday night (June 5) the stars of country music were out in force for the annual CMT Music Awards were held in Nashville, Tennessee, but one famous country face wasn't on show: Blake Shelton. With the singer busy on touring duties, it was up to his proud wife Miranda Lambert to act on his behalf during the nights proceedings.

Lambert was presenting the award for Male Video of the Year for when she read out her husbands name (convenient much), with his single 'Sure Be Cool If You Did' taking away the prize on the night. She explained that the Voice judge had "tried hard to get here," but unfortunately couldn't bend his schedule in such a way that he could get to the awards show from Los Angeles in time. Taking on the responsibilities for herself and her husband on the night, Lambert ended her speech by gleefully announcing, "Honey, I'm drinkin' for two tonight!"

Lambert had plenty of reason to drink the night away too, picking up two gongs on the night herself. She won the Performance of the Year award for her song 'Over You,' thanking Shelton, a co-writer of the song, in her speech, before climbing to the stage again to pick up the female equivalent of the award her husband had won: Video of the Year for 'Mama's Broken Heart,' a song she had performed live earlier in the awards gala.

A Teary-Eyed Performance Marks The Oklahoma Tornado Benefit For Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert

We all know that celebrities tend to get a bit emotional at times of great struggle, but Miranda Lambert reached a new level at the Oklahoma benefit for those who lost lives and property in the May 20th tornado. While performing her song “The House That Built Me,” live from the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City, the singer was constantly choking back tears, Access Hollywood reports. After singing the line: “Mama cut out pictures of houses…” referring to a family planning their defame home and eventually building it, the star reportedly got so emotional, that she had to take a break from singing and hand it over to the crowd for a little audience participation.

Lambert handed over the verse to the concert attendees to finish, while she regained her composure. Eventually she did finish the performance, but it was obviously a struggle. At the end, she even felt the need to apologise, saying at the end of her performance: “Sorry” to the crowd and adding, “I love you Oklahoma.”

Miranda was joined for the benefit by a number of other performers, including her husband, Blake Shelton, as well as other musical celebrities like Reba McEntire, Ryan Tedder, Darius Rucker, Usher, Rascal Flatts and Luke Bryan. Vince Gill, who hails from Oklahoma, dedicated his moving performance of “Threaten Me with Heaven” to “the 24 people that didn’t make it,” he said on stage on Wednesday night.

Blake Shelton Wastes No Time Organising Tornado Benefit Concert For Fellow Oklahomans

Blake Shelton Miranda Lambert

Blake Shelton has announced that he is planning a benefit concert as part of the relief effort for the violent tornado that occurred in his home state of Oklahoma killing 24 people.

The country star announced on 'The Voice' on Tuesday night (May 21st 2013) that he has teamed up with TV network NBC to organise a concert to raise funds for those who have lost their homes and families to the disastrous cyclone that took place in Moore, Oklahoma on Monday (May 20th). 'We'll know more about it in the next 24 hours', he told Billboard. 'I'm hoping it will raise a lot of money. Obviously it will be televised and will happen really quickly.' He also insisted that he can 'call in some really big favours' for the show and, according to Fox News, he already has a date and a venue fixed.

Also on the singing show, he performed a song with his wife Miranda Lambert while appealing to viewers to donate whatever they can to the Red Cross, to get help to the victims of the appalling catastrophe as soon as possible with numerous people now homeless. With this being the second major natural disaster to hit the States after Hurricane Sandy, there's no doubt that Blake will have dozens of musicians eager to help.

Pistol Annies Puzzle Their Fans With Online Album Promotion

Miranda Lambert

Pistol Annies may make country music, a genre steeped in the heritage of America itself, but they’ve been promoting their new album in a very 21st century way, with the group revealing to Mashable the extent of a special four-week marketing campaign that saw them tackle various social networks and other platforms.

The group set up their album – out this week – by pushing The Great Annies Adventure, which saw fans try and solve puzzles both online and offline in a trail that ultimately led to prizes and tickets for a secret show. Clues were left all over the internet, including on Facebook, Foursquare, Instagram, Path, Pinterest, Tumblr, Twitter and Vine while the narrative for them was based around a comic book designed by the group. "I don't think any of us have ever had this much fun promoting an album," group member Miranda Lambert told Mashable. "Watching them dissect clues, chat online about where we're taking them next, and race to each location is beyond cool."

"The adventure quest we've been on with the fans has been incredible," Lambert said. "Even if no one was following along I think we'd still have a great time doing it, so to see how huge the response has been is amazing." It’ll be interested to see if the campaign has the desired effect on Annie Up in the forthcoming Billboard chart.

Blake Shelton Rumors Laughed Off: Country Music Couple Still Going Strong

Blake Shelton Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert has laughed off the Blake Shelton rumors that have suggested the couple have been hit by a cheating scandal. In true Blake / Shelton style, they have laughed off the rumors in a comic way, tweeting each other so that all of their followers can see that they’re not bothered by the gossip.

Joking about the recent tabloid scandal that suggests Shelton has had an affair with a 23 year old artist, Blake sent a tweet to Miranda, saying “Hey ‪@mirandalambert... I just read in a tabloid that our marriage is falling apart!!! FOCK!!!” to which Miranda replied “Oh no! Can't wait to read if we make it or not.” Blake quoted her tweet for his own followers to see and added “Ba! Ha! Ha! You see y'all! I'm making her funnier!”

This isn’t the first time that Blake and Miranda have been forced to deny rumors being spread about them in the press, either. Last November, word got out that the couple were expecting a baby, when they actually weren’t and they were forced to take to Twitter to defend themselves then, as well, with Miranda joking “Wow! I just read the headline! 'We are having a baby' yay! Blake Shelton, we're getting a new puppy?” If they’re willing to joke about something as serious as the breakdown of their marriage, on a social media site, can we safely assume that there’s no substance to those Blake Shelton rumors?

Ashley Monroe To Shine With Solo Effort 'Like A Rose'

Ashley Monroe Miranda Lambert Train

Ashley Monroe is finally here with her new album 'Like A Rose' which marks a milestone in the country singer's music career.

The Pistol Annies singer releases her new solo album 'Like A Rose' today (March 5th 2013) and told The Associated Press that, 'I'm just now learning that there is a master plan'. 'There's been many times where I've looked up at the sky and thought, 'Really? What am I doing? What am I supposed to be doing?' But now I'm seeing all the good and the bad that I've lived and experienced just kind of come together', she added. Her previous solo effort, album 'Satisfied' flopped badly though her other work with bandmate Miranda Lambert in Pistol Annies has been moderately successful since they formed in 2011 with their debut album 'Hell on Heels' topping the US Country chart.

The Pistol Annies are set to release their second album in the Spring of 2013, while Monroe is set to tour with the band Train after dueting with singer Pat Monahan on 'Bruises'. 'It's crazy', Monroe said of her career achievments. 'It blows my mind. But it also makes me happy because it's bringing all these things together.'

Taylor Swift And Eric Church Dominate The ACM Nominees List

Taylor Swift Eric Church Miranda Lambert

The nominations for the ACM awards (American Country Music, for the uninitiated), were announced on Wednesday, and, as expected, Taylor Swift cleaned up. Everyone’s favorite broken-hearted girl picked up five nominations, including the coveted entertainer-of-the-year nod, the top honor in the award show. A win for Swift would make her the first solo female artist to ever win the award, but of course, she is up against some pretty tough competition with Jason Aldean, Miranda Lambert and the show’s co-hosts, Luke Brian and Blake Shelton also on the list.

Let’s not forget all of the other acts competing for awards, either. The overachiever this year has to be Eric Church, with his seven nominations. For those counting at home, that’s every category he’s eligible for, apart from Entertainer of the Year. Some other big winners (or potential ones, anyway) are Hunter Hayes with six nods and, of course, Miranda Lambert with five nominations. So it’s shaping up to be an interesting evening. With Hayes up for what could be his very first ACM win, and Miranda and Taylor both competing to be the first female entertainer of the year, there’s bound to be at least a little bit of tension in the air on the big night. Though we’re always keeping our fingers crossed for Taytay – don’t tell anyone.

The 48th annual Academy of Country Music Awards will air live April 7 (CBS, 8 p.m. ET/tape delay PT), from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. You can catch the full list of nominees on the official ACM website.

'The Chief' Eric Church Leads ACM Awards 2013 Nominees With 7 Nods, But Taylor Swift Expected To Sweep

Taylor Swift Eric Church Miranda Lambert Hunter Hayes Blake Shelton Jason Aldean

The ACM Awards shortlist has been announced, one of the biggest awards shows in the American country music scene. Fully-named The Academy of Country Music Awards, is looks like 2013 could be the year of Eric Church, who seems to be set for reverence indeed after being named as a candidate in seven categories.

Known as the Chief, Church nevertheless isn’t up for the top category of the event – which will be held on April 7 in Las Vegas. Entertainer of the year will be contested by many of the established names on the country circuit, including Miranda Lambert, Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton and Taylor Swift. We’re not quite sure how much a part of the ‘scene’ Swift can really feel these days to be honest, but never mind, she’s going for her third straight win in the category.

Going back to whose up for the most gongs though, it would appear that Hunter Hayes is just one behind ‘the Chief’, with six nominations, whilst Lambert and Swift are on five each. We wouldn’t bet against Swift winning all five of her categories: entertainer of the year, top female vocalist, video of the year, album of the year (artist) and album of the year (producer). For Hayes, he was just thrilled with the nominations. “It’s amazing. That puts it in perspective,” he said, according to the New York Daily News. “I’m kind of feeling like I’m part of the family now, especially now, with this. That’s such an honor, such a huge compliment. This is serious. This is for real. This says that my music’s been accepted by this community and it’s unbelievable — and that’s one of the best feelings in the world.”

Luke Bryan Smashes American Country Awards With Nine Accolades

Luke Bryan scooped a whopping nine awards at the American Country Awards on Monday (December 10th 2012) missing out on only two other possible titles.

The artist won nine out of 24 awards which, considering fifteen of those were reserved for females, groups, collaborations and new artists, isn't bad at all as he only lost out on two other possible accolades for 'Touring Artist of the Year' which went to Jason Aldean and Song of the Year which went to Eric Church and his song 'Springsteen' featuring Jeff Hyde and Ryan Tyndell. Luke's awards included Artist of the Year (general and male category), Album of the Year for his Tailgates & Tanlines, Single of the Year (both general and male) for 'I Don't Want This Night To End' - a song which also earned him Music Video of the Year (general and male, again) and Most Played Radio Track (once more, for the general and male categories).

Miranda Lambert was the highest female earner of ACA accolades, winning three for her song 'Over You': Single of the Year (Female), Music Video of the Year (Female) and Most Played Radio Track (Female). Lady Antebellum won the most awards for a group including Artist of the Year (Group) and Single of the Year (Group) for their song 'We Owned The Night'.

Blake Shelton Is The Man Of The Hour At CMA Awards

Blake Shelton Miranda Lambert Willie Nelson Little Big Town Eric Church Toby Keith Taylor Swift

Blake Shelton went home after last nights (Nov 1) Country Music Awards with an impressive three trophies to add to his mantle, taking Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist and Song of the Year.

Shelton shared the honour of Best Song with his wife Miranda Lambert for their ballad ‘Over You’, with Lambert breaking down in tears on stage over their success. And as for Shelton’s Best Male Vocalist Award, it marked the third time in a row that the singer has received the coveted award.

As well as Shelton and Lambert, other winners on the night included Country legend Willie Nelson who was presented with a lifetime achievement award at the ceremony held in Nashville, Tennessee. Alabama quartet Little Big Town found double success as they collected the award for Vocal Group of the Year and Single of the Year for their song ‘Pontoon’. Eric Church took home Album of the Year for the smash hit Chief, whilst Toby Keith beat off competition to win Music Video of the Year for the novelty track, ‘Red Solo Cup’.

Miranda Lambert Moustache Campaign: She's The New 'Got Milk?' Girl

Miranda Lambert

Miranda Lambert's 'moustache' campaign was unveiled in Nashville this week, ahead of her performance at the Country Music Awards. The ad for the National Milk Moustache's "got milk?" campaign shows Lambert holding a tall glass of milk, a bowl of cereal and her guitar. The ad copy reads: "Fine tune your morning. Got milk? Nourish every day."

The famous "Got milk" campaign is now in its 17th year, with the likes of Sofia Vergara, Salma Hayek, Amy Grant and Taylor Swift previous celebrities to have represented the cause. Speaking to Billboard magazine, Lambert said, "It's universal. I like to do things that appeal to everybody and anybody can relate to.I was part of the cotton campaign and this one too felt all-American. I'm a country girl. I grew up on a farm and I grew up drinking milk and I still do. It felt perfect." Katie DeGenova, marketing manager for the "got milk?" campaign called Lambert a "warm and friendly person," adding, "She's so down to earth and has always loved milk." The campaign, which debuted in People Country this week will also be run in women's magazines and online, as well as on social media.

The 46th Annual CMA Awards will air on ABC on November 1st at 8:00ET/7:00CT PM.

Three Week Reign: Jason Aldean Tops Country Chart With Take A Little Ride

Jason Aldean Miranda Lambert Carrie Underwood Dustin Lynch

Jason Aldean’s ‘Take A Little Ride’ has taking a pretty long ride – straight to the top of the country music charts.

The latest single from Aldean has ben at the top of the charts for three weeks now and is showing no signs of shifting just yet. According to tasteofcountry.com, the success of ‘Take A Little Ride’ is not just good news for Aldean, but also for the three writers involved in penning the chart-topping track: Rodney Clawson, Dylan Altman and Jim McCormick.

‘Take A Little Ride’ is the sixth in a string of Jason Aldean songs to top the country music charts; it certainly seems that he has the Midas touch when it comes to creating chart success for himself (with a little help from his record label of course… and the songwriters). Prior to the release of this current track, Aldean had found success with ‘My Kinda Party,’ ‘Don’t You Wanna Stay,’ ‘Dirt Road Anthem,’ ‘Tattoos on This Town’ and ‘Fly Over States.’ On October 16, 2012, Jason Aldean will be releasing his fifth studio album, Night Train, from which the current track is the debut single.

Girl Power At The 2012 American Music Awards: Nicki Minaj And Rihanna Lead The Way

Nicki Minaj Rihanna Justin Bieber Katy Perry Maroon 5 Drake Mariah Carey Adele Taylor Swift One Direction Kelly Clarkson Train Carrie Underwood Miranda Lambert Usher

Nicki Minaj and Rihanna are expected to clean up at the 2012 American Music Awards, with four nominations apiece, reports Reuters.

Rihanna is top of the table for the main category, as she wards off competition from Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Maroon 5 and Canadian rapper Drake for artist of the year. She’s also in line for female soul/R&B artist and best album, and will lock horns with Minaj for the female pop/rock artist category. Minaj could be recognized for her album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, in both the pop/rock and rap/hip hop categories this year, and she’s nominated for favorite rap artist, too. Minaj has been attracting extra attention recently; her very public feud with Mariah Carey on American Idol culminated in a strange gun threat, but most seem sure the ‘diva-off’ is being played up by Fox to boost the talent show’s viewership.

Elsewhere in the awards, teenage singer Bieber landed three nominations this year, tying with British boy band One Direction, Maroon 5, Drake and R&B star Usher. Adele and Taylor Swift – who dominated the awards last year - received one nomination apiece. Swift will fight for female country artist against Carrie Underwood and Miranda Lambert, while Adele was nominated in the favorite adult contemporary artist category alongside Kelly Clarkson and Train. The AMA’s - which will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this year - are determined by fans through online voting, which starts on Tuesday. The ceremony and performance show will be broadcast live from Los Angeles on November 18.
