Miranda Lambert and her husband Blake Shelton are creating a luxurious room for their pet dogs at their new home.

The 31-year-old singer and her husband are currently building a new house in the country and in the plans the couple have decided to create a dedicated space for their 15 beloved rescue mutts and she has been researching how to create the perfect pooch pad on website Pinterest.

Speaking to Country Living magazine, she revealed: ''We're building a new house, and I've been saving inspiration on Pinterest. A friend of mine recently said, 'I can see your Pinterest boards, and all you have on there are dog rooms.'

''My husband and I have 15 rescue animals, and I spend way too much time planning our pets' spaces. I'm like, 'OK, I probably need to move on to the laundry room!' ''

Miranda insists she and Blake have such a special bond with her pets because they don't see the couple as celebrities and give them unconditional love.

She said: ''They don't know who Miranda Lambert is or care. They just love me because I'm their mom.''

Miranda insists she and Blake - who have just opened their own bed and breakfast business in her hometown of Tishomingo, Oklahoma - love country living because it offers them ''peace''.

She explained: ''Blake and I live in Tishomingo, which is roughly two hours from any major city. There's just a peace that comes with country life. There's something calming about looking out at wide-open spaces and trees as far as you can see. The country is perfect for letting your mind drift to a creative place.''
