Tragedy has struck the country music world as it's revealed that Troy Gentry of Montgomery Gentry passed away at the age of 50 following a fatal helicopter crash last week in New Jersey where he and Eddie Montgomery were scheduled to perform. The duo's team released a statement via social media.

The Kentucky singer and guitarist died on Friday (September 8th 2017) afternoon ahead of Montgomery Gentry's gig at the Flying W Airport And Resort in Medford, New Jersey. Eddie Montgomery and the rest of the band were at the airport at the time of the incident.
