Baby Don't Dance video from Mother Mother
Canadian indie rock band Mother Mother have announced their new single. 'Baby Don't Dance' will be released on October 10th and is taken from their third album, 'Eureka', which was released on March 15th through Last Gang Records.
Directed by Harv Glazer, the video for this catchy uptempo song is full of bold, bright colours. Following the audacious opening statement, Mother Mother performs in front of a white backdrop, with the flashes of black and neon pink and blue highlighting the chorus that is reminiscent of the Beatles' 'Ticket to Ride'.
Formed by Ryan Guldemond (vocals, guitar) in 2005, Mother Mother's lineup includes his sister Molly (keyboard, vocals); Ali Siadat (drums); Jeremy Page (bass) and Jasmin Parkin (keyboard, vocals). Their recent album, Eureka, was produced by Ryan as well as Mike Fraser, who has produced for the likes of Franz Ferdinand, AC/DC and Elvis Costello.
Mother Mother have also shared the stage with big names in rock, such as Weezer and Pearl Jam and their passion for touring has seen them perform build a large, devoted fanbase and play at a diverse range of festivals, including SXSW; Pop Montreal and the Liverpool Sound City, not to mention the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games concert series 'Livecity'.
To coincide with the release of Baby Don't Dance, Mother Mother will perform a one off date at London's Lexington on October 10th.
